Topic: Why I Only Can Draw Caricatures????

Posted under Art Talk

Being in a furry community without knowing how to draw a standard furry is like being in a university without knowing how to read.

Oh God, I just can draw human caricatures because I have been drawing them about 6 years to now.

Gosh, I feel very ashamed. Does anyone have a "How To Draw Furries For Stupid Faggot Loser Caricaturist Persians" guide??

I would be really thankful to working replies.

Troll user confirmed.

There are text to audio reading robots (and if its a book, scan it, and pass it thru text detection software). Therefore, you can pass university without knowing how to read. Or, if you are blind.

how_to and other tags like it, contain some tutorials in the site.
Other than that, just get inkscape/gimp/krita/paper and draw. Theres nothing really to that.

Posting at the time when NotMeNotYou is in the good mood, thats the challenge

Thanks, I will look to your link tomorrow.

I think r/furry has a related subreddit called furry art school, which may have some useful information for you. Studying animal anatomy can be rather helpful in this avenue, and there's plenty of artists wandering around on this website that may be able to help you out with links or additional information. o/

I can't even draw to begin with, let alone humans or furries

practice, practice and practice. use references (preferably photos of irl animals in this case), read tutorials, look what other artists are doing, adapt small things from other artists, read tips about using your drawing program etc etc etc. there is no shortcut to learning to draw anything.

Thanks, a good reply. I sill start drawing from real animals, I hope I could learn to draw an acceptable furry in autumn.
Thanks again!

P.S. no problem with practicing, As I practiced a lot to draw caricatures. I just didn't know where to start that now I do(IRL animals).

I'm going to mirror both misappropriated and Mutisija's comments! Reddit.com/r/furry has a few links to "how to's," but the best thing you can so is practice both animals and humans traditionally.

This is still one of my favorite tutorials: post #53706.

I mean, it's not useful, but it is hilarious.

I can draw people.

Once, the girl next to me looked over what i was doing in class and she started laughing so hard she couldnt breathe.

So at least my creations provoke feelings. And that is good.
