Just thinking of archiving art made by an artist who removed it from their fa due to not showing their current quality

His old art is on e6 and he doesn't have conditional dnp

im just wondering if the quality guidelines would be less strict if the artwork is known to have been made in a time where everyone used windows xp or if this isnt a thing and the age of the artwork doesnt change anything if a post is deemed low quality

The uploading guidelines are the same for every post made now, it won't get different standards for being old.

However posts made very long ago (under different uploading guidelines) get to stay, as grandfathered content

In general, once a post has been approved it's unlikely to get removed for quality reasons (though it certainly happens), on top of the official grandfathered content policy. Uploading restrictions have gotten stricter over time.

For old art that's not yet uploaded; perhaps if it's really old, the uploading guidelines might be a little relaxed, though it's hard to say for sure. There's some examples that would likely be borderline if modern, like post #4478644, and probably some more extreme examples as well. I don't think there's any official policy to back that up, though.

Unless there's some historical value don't expect notebook doodles on deeply stained paper to be accepted.
