Topic: FurAffinity Vs ABDL

Posted under General

Well it's sadly finally happening, FA are now going through and wiping a lot of ABDL/Babyfur content as of Update 2.7

https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10983144

Thankfully there is a 6 Month Grace Period but yet another example of stripping away the internet from taboo subjects, again you may not like the subject which is fine, but it's the slippery slope to ban more, we've seen the pattern again and again

If you are into ABDL or Babyfur content I highly recommend you to backup and Archive everything you can now before it's gone

UP 2.7 is being changed now to no longer allow any characters depicted as minors in Mature or Adult-rated submissions per community feedback.

What exactly is not allowed now that was allowed before? I thought underage characters were already not allowed.

im also confused, techincal jargon isn't my strong suit but it feels like this is just tackling that shitting in a diaper is in fact a fetish and that minors shouldn't be involved?

it says that only abdl stuff that has minors in it will be removed i thought?

the age regression thing is a little iffy though I admit, since age regression can be "safe" as a means to work through trauma

It was never explicitly specified whether young characters could be depicted in artwork involving non-sexualized blood, gore, and/or violence. This change now makes it clear that they're not, along with not being allowed in pictures involving visible urine and/or feces, including those seen through diapers, and in pictures involving visible genital bulges.

Alright, thanks!

hmmm... take this as you will but going down this rabbit hole is very much not a good idea. I sure as hell hope e621 doesn't start doing this conservative evangelical BS.

The whole egg thing is so weird to me. Not as a kink but the mods sudden weird stance on them on FA. In all my years it's never crossed my mind until I saw that comment.

Are they gonna ban pregnant sex as well bc there's an implied fetus present? lmao

Don't tempt them, at least one artist got dinged for mpreg because the adult character was enjoying being pregnant too much and they unironically said belly kicks imply a minor and thus the guy was getting off to minors.

So they made a new reply saying the moderator misunderstood the question

Which still doesn't really answer any questions I have about the what's going on, it really sounds like some of the mods have fallen for some weird puritan right wing stuff or something

It's Luffy, the admin infamous for the "Mew is an embryo" take from the "small-bodied pokemon = cub" debacle, they did not misunderstand the question the mods are trying to backpedal because they just realized they have fucked up.

also, I'm still of the opinion that FA just shouldn't allow minors period. and a opt-in feature that allows users to auto-block minors from having access to their account is a total non-solution that seems like its aim is to protect adults from having children view their content rather than doing anything to protect the children.

FurAffinity is not a general audience website, and it really never has been. the content of the site is made primarily by adults for other adults; and that's true whether a piece is SFW or not.

reading that leaked admin chat the comment by skunky andy that "it's meant to be a website people can trust their kids on" is ridiculous, like bitch I don't trust myself on that site when browsing the recent artworks section. it's ironically enough the reason why i prefer to browse and discover art on e6 rather than FA, and NEITHER site I would want to let a kid loose on

Luffy said the exact words "Mew is an embryo" during the previous AUP 2.7 update shenanigans back in May
quick edit: see topic #38553 for previous discussion

Geez, this is all getting silly (and frustrating)... What's next? "Ban feral art for species that don't live to be 18 IRL"?

For a website that STILL doesn't have a functioning block list on it, calling it a website people can trust their kids on is mind-boggling.

Can we just stop with the idea that one, every single place on the internet needs to be child safe because, "Oh, what if kids get on it." Stop punishing adults for the misgivings of terrible parents who cant keep their kids from going to places they shouldnt. There isnt a single damn reason one that a porn site should have limitations on uploads because, "It might be seen by kids." And if the content CAN be seen by kids, thats an even bigger issue than the content itself. Two, its fucking not real, its just not real, none of it is fucking real. Its all fantasy art that isnt bound by any laws of physical morality because again, it isnt real. You're fine to be offended by it, dont look at it. Block it, avoid it, dont go seeking it out, and heavens above dont go hunting it down just to lambast people in the comments about how disgusting it is. Further, don't go and collect a giant pile of it and start spreading it around, especially if what you are spreading around is supposedly CSAM, since by your words at that point, you are actively distributing CSAM which is a federal crime punishable by up to never seeing the sky again for the rest of your life.

It would be hilarious if they could pass ovum/fetus as cub porn, see the pregnant fandom goes into rage with FA...

I've sometimes wondered ever since purging my gallery on FA if I would end up regretting it.

Instead it's just been the opposite again and again and again.

The subjects and kinks/fetishes being highlighted here are of no interest to me, but I remember how it felt for ones I did care about to be put in the crosshairs and I empathize.

Hopefully it gets better one day, but I'm not holding my breath.

If you read the rules carefully they could make that argument.

"Minors are defined as real or fictional humanoids, animals, or fantasy creatures with a childlike body, the consciousness of a child, or younger than 18 years of age."

Notice that 'or' in the last sentence fragment?
