Is being a janitor a job? Do you guys get paid? I was just feeling silly and wanted to ask a question

Nobody is getting paid, except maybe the head admin NotMeNotYou.

It's one of the unpaid jobs of all time.

The only person on staff getting paid is Head Admin NotMeNotYou. The rest of us masochists are volunteers.

Is it a job? Yes. Do we get paid? No.

I jest, it's not really a job, kinda just something to do when nothing else is going on.

If it's more of a hobby, can you still get fired? What does former-staff mean (like bitWolfy, ippiki ookami, and Char)? Also is the only difference between staff and janitors permissions? Srry for so many question

You can get fired, it takes a lot of fuckups in a row or a very large singular fuckup though
Former staff are staff members that no longer are for one reason or another
admins are an escalation point above janitors

Also to answer the underlying question, janitors are a subset of the staff. Moderators are too. and then there are the admins. Janitors deal with posts, mods deal with users, and admins deal with both.
