I'm sorry, but this two comment per hour limit is driving me crazy.

I thought I could at least respond to something that was already at the very top without bumping it, because it's not like it really needed to be bumped if it was already on top, and then use my bump on something later. Apparently not; I just made two comments on stuff on the front page that were set not to bump, then tried to bump something later, only to get the dreaded "Error: Hourly limit exceeded (check "do not bump post" to post more comments)" note. Are you kidding me? The two posts I commented on already weren't even bumped, but they still evidently counted against my limit. That's the worst of both worlds right there. CLASSY.

If there's a server-related reason why it actually -would- kill you guys to turn unlimited posts back on, can there at least be some sort of gold account with higher posting privileges or something? Seriously, I love the new site and all but this two comments/hour shit is killing me.

I guess since signups were open, theres been that possiblity that people will sign up purely to spam and advertise. It's the only reason I can think of. The comment limit doesn't actually bother me.

The only thing that DOES really irritate me is that 2 tag search limit. It's put me off uploading images since it's hard to see if you're uploading a dupe since you find out with just 2 tags. Plus it's difficult to find images you like because of it.

I'm not whining, just saying. :)

It's mostly an anti-spam thing for the comments. And the tags is because doing complex searches like that is kinda heavy on the server, that's why it's limited to 2 unless you have an upgraded account.

That said, if you email [email protected] and put your case for an upgraded account, if it's good enough, you'll get one :]

Do upgraded accounts get to bypass the comment limit? The tag searching doesn't bug me -that- much but the comment thing is crippling.
