So, where is the server located now? Or is it still in... Arizona, was it? I can't remember.

Still phoenix, just split pieces up so they run faster.

postgresql, :) we could use other softwares, but we rely on some of postgres's advanced text search features.

Ah, I've been working as an Oracle database admin for a few years now.

You have my deepest sympathies and most sincere condolences.

I remember working with Oracle software once upon a time when I was back in college. I especially remember feeling that Oracle was more a company that sold training for their software, rather than a software company.

On the contrary, Oracle's database software is good quality, and well supported.
It's the #1 database software used in the business world today.
They do have some software that isn't amazing, but not very much any more.

Think I found a bug. The "forum" button sometimes stays italicized after I've read all the new posts in threads. Anyone else getting that?

That is actually easily explained, there is super secret admin forum where we keep a list of who's been naughty and nice, and every time we change or add something it bumps everything, if you can't look at any thread newer than the newest admin-forum post the Forum will stay italized.
You can get rid of it by hitting "Mark all read" though.
