At least eggs looked like eggs back then, and you didn't have to look at description in pokedex to guess what the fuck is supposed to be this piece of shit.

Also up to gen 2 rivals were somewhat memorable, music was good, and there were no obvious copies of previous gen pokemons.
Gen 3 is IMO last gen where changes were visible to normal player (Not those who plays at the tournaments and get boner over each single stat change.)
And generation 4 is the last generation where there are some pokemons that look decent.

Coro-Coro gaming magazine has always been a reliable source for new Pokémon game info. Fake scans are VERY easy to tell apart from real ones.

There have been convincing fake scans before.
I'm not saying it's not accurate, I just don't believe it until I see it on the official site.

I found out that its English name is Swirlix. Y'know as cute as this is, it probably wouldn't last a minute in the real world. lol

They also just announced a squid-ish looking pokemon that's psychic/dark, with the Contrary ability, which reverses all stat increase/decreases, an awesome ability not available on any good pokemon previously.
The evolution to the panda, which is fighting/dark.
And another fairy type, it looks kinda like a pink bird, and is a perfume based pokemon.
They announced that the X legendary is dark/flying as well.

This is turning into a big thing, seperating the Pokémon fans who like pokemon in all gens, and the ones that only like gens 1-2 and think that every other gen is a flaming shit ball. I'm in the former category. I'm looking foward to X&Y and all the changes they will bring.
