Topic: REPLY BUG!

Okay I will say this now....I CANT REPLY TO THE BUG THREAD THIS IS WHY I MADE THIS THREAD! ...Again, I CANT REPLY TO THE BUG THREAD THATS WHY I MADE THIS THREAD.....OKay? Now here is the problem...

Every time I hit reply.....from forum post to quoting someone, to even comments on images...I click reply, page scrolls up to the very top and it wont let the box for a comment to even open nor is quoting anyone working.

I have no idea whats wrong but its getting ab it annoying now. I would have posted this in the official bug thread but this bug stops me from doing so. It seems I can only post in every other thread or image, but half of them I can not, its like its random.

Just letting the admins know of this bug.
I am using firefox.

EDIT1: Attempting to thumb up a comment under a image does the same thing as trying to comment, it keeps scrolling me to the top of the page without doing anything.

Javasript breaking again.

It seems I'm only able to reply to threads I made....everything else is 50/50.

You know, there are at least five separate threads created today about same problem. I'm less, and less skeptical about new rules for duplicate forum threads.

Anyway, if you have bloodlust theme set it is simple to distinguish when javascript is working. If site is black - it is working. Otherwise it is not.

Or, you know, the news feed stated when something is borked. Either/or

Have you tried CTRL + F5? I've had what you describe in the past and every time it shows up that is the one thing which has helped to clear it up temporarily, (enough to post, comment, fav, rate etc whatever I was trying to do on that page). When it comes back sooner or later, just do it again.

It's a workaround and sanity saver until they track down whatever the glitch is. Obviously something with the javascript is screwy, but as far as I know they're aware of it and working on a fix even as we speak. In the meantime, CTRL + F5 forces your browser to clear out the old javascript info it had stored (and often the glitch in that info goes with it) and try again. Most of the times it gets you a normally working page, though occasionally it may take a few times.

I haven't had this problem today yet, but this is what worked for the same symptoms every time I've had it in the last month. It's worth a try.

Where? The only threads I saw on the front page where about 10 threads on tag changes, and one on a blacklist not working. Did you want me to look though 10 pages of threads just to see if someone mentioned this already? I looked on the first 2 pages and didnt see anything about it.

The issue is when js breaks you can't reply to posts, only make new ones.

This problem does not seem to affect e926, I go there whenever java stops working in case I want to replay or do something.
