Topic: Bug Topic

Posted under General

This topic has been locked.

I am only creating this because the respond button is still broken.

1. "Favorite" button(s) doesn't work.
2. "Respond" function doesn't work. But "New topic" function works. That's why I've created a new topic. I sure know about The Bug Report Thread
3. Score buttons "up" and "down" doesn't work as well.
4. Also functions: [Edit, Add note, Add to pool, Add to set] does not work.

Staff can you please help out the community? This has been making me mad that I can't favorite my art that I find and it is happening on every single picture. Refreshing doesn't work, nor is updating everything including Java (which I was told to do, and it still didn't help) Please someone get on top of this!

Dude, they know already. No need to make more of these threads. Be patient

I'm surprise on how many people ignore all the other forums on this very same topic.... Hell, I more surprise no one is obeying that one rule in the updated Code of Conduct called Creating Duplicate Forum Threads forum #85772

Well I made the first one, but thats it. I think the rule is refering to someone making the same thread over and over

Almost every locked topic on first page, despite different naming, refers to exactly same bug - lack of javascript.

Before I made the thread I checked 2 pages back, and only saw 1 thread about problem blacklist but I thought that was another issuse, I saw nothing on the reply errors. I think I was the first to mention it unless it was in some comment 20 pages back or so. After that others started making the same thread as I did :V

I have no clue why people started spamming "re re threads" like it was email or something XD

You have to realize that a lot of people don't have a fucking clue what Javascript is, how it works, or how it is used on this site, so all of the things that were going wrong seemed like separate issues, and not being able to use the "Respond" button on a forum post seems like yet another issue to them and the one and only way to do anything then would be to create a new post.

It may have been annoying to you, but you need to understand that (most of) these people had not a single clue any of those other threads were the same issue at all.

Plus the fact it's rather ridiculous to have a forum so dependent upon Javascript that you can't even reply to a post without it. I'd even go so far as to say it's rather dumb, and lazy besides to not have fallback markup.

e926.net was a pretty good fallback to comment in forums at least, when javascript went down.

And the average Joe doesn't immediately understand why going to some other website (as it seems to them) would help them on this website.

The JS issues are a known factor, and we are working on a solution. At this time, we have no ETA. We do apologize about the issues, and hope they don't affect too badly.

There are users that aren't having any problems at all, so it appears to be only a certain set of circumstances.
