Ok. So I would have liked to have known my account needed to be a week old before I could upload stuff BEFORE I decided to try and upload something.

I loaded the pic (My art) did the tagging (Which I went through tags to see I was putting in legitimate tags) The Descriptions, source and everything. I hit upload, and THEN I'm told my account needs to be a week old. I think this needs to be told to the user BEFORE they go through the work of tagging and all that.

We really should be able to get a verification so we can get passed that, You know, Sometime like an artists email. Or maybe messaging the artists FA asking "Hey, is this you? We would like to make sure someone isn't trying to be you!" and replying back to it confirming that it is you could get the one week limit pulled off, Or something!

I think it says this somewhere on the site. Also the week thing is to keep people from abusing the site, nothing to do with fake artist up-loaders.

Remember, you must wait at least a week to upload posts or comment, and three days to edit posts to prevent spamming. Editing a post counts as changing the tags, parent ID, rating, or source.

I don't know how to make it any more obvious than that. I mean it's literally the first thing you see when you go to signup. =/
