Would you say a Dragon that has White scales and a black underbelly interesting? or a Dragon that has Black scales and a White underbelly?

I ask this because One of my friends Was thinking when they saw my Scalysona That, "Dragons are suppose to be menacing, and a white dragon isn't that menacing..." I Spent time thinking about it, Letting it sink in, and figured he was right.

So I thought about Switching my color scheme from White to black. Any thoughts? comments? suggestions?

(on a side note, is it okay that I do this? just make threads out of nowhere? I don't want to end up posting too many threads at once.)

Well its not exactly a choice between those colors, I just did that because I didn't want to change the colors already present, Hes got White and black already its just flipped

I have no idea lol, Some people just don't know I guess, I personally love the look of both dragons so its very hard for me to choose.

So, we are now at species stereotypes?
All dragons have to be menacing, even the tiny faydragons, foxes need to be sizequeens and always horny, lions need to be always gay and so on and so forth.

That's very true actually, Stereotypes are something we shouldn't go by (assuming your being sarcastic) Thanks for the input guys, It helped a'lot! I never was one for stereotypes anyway. I guess I was just looking for something new to do with my character.

I didn't in anyway intend for this to be a racial thing, i was just saying black and white cause those colors were already on my character i just thought about switching them.

Well, generally speaking, white is less menacing than black. But would you really change your color scheme just because a friend of yours thinks white isn't menacing at all?

You don't see me switching from red to blue just because someone tells me to. :O

What I mean is, don't make changes to your character just because someone thinks the design needs to be altered in some way. There's nothing wrong with doing something new with your character, if it's something that -you- want to do.

Thanks again for the input, I've decided to stay with my original White look because that's what I originally had and there really in no problem with it. I don't even want to look menacing anyway... Next time I'll go by what I want, and not what other people would like to alter, its MY character after all.

Black & white are so last millennium.

I don't know about the black underbelly, but I've seen some gorgeous rendition of white dragons. I think they look cooler than black. As for menacing, that's all in the posture and look. It only takes a second to completely change a look: http://imgur.com/oS1UJts

Now that I think about it, I don't think OP has ever played Dark Souls.
If he had, he'd be able to reconsider that "White cannot be badass/menacing" once he saw Seath the Scaleless.

White dragons are the weakest variety of chromatic.

Think of a white dragon like a white snake or a white shark, white imply it could be rare and even more deadly. Thats the shit you heard stories about back in the day, the deadly white dragon covered in the red blood of villagers. Far more scary
