Topic: Goodra associated tags?

Posted under General

So with the pokemon Goodra being quite popular, I think a few tags should be associated with the name.

Mainly, pokemon (obviously), but also dragon and slug in the species tags as it's a cross between the two (it's earlier forms look more like slugs, this one resembles a dragon, but is squishy and emits mucus over it's body).

So far I have been manually been adding the slug and dragon take to all goodra images but I'm starting to have a hard time keeping up.

Usually, species tags aren't aliased to character tags, in case another artist draws it as another species (f.e. Atryl's OC beach_ball, who draws it as a pony and as an otter).

Also, when tagging make sure dragon and/or slug match what is in the image in question.

Well that's what I'm saying. A Goodra is a species, but it is both a dragon and a slug.

All these images still keep using the base species and attributes and thus are both still dragon + slug.

Slug is always part of it with them being mucus coated, even with some OCs.

Even the anthro ones.

Pokemon generally don't need other species than the pokemon name... look at This or this or this - want to fill the species box with MORE than 152 different Species for what they resemble!?

Would you mind going through all the beach_ball pictures and changing the tags for the character named Beach Ball to Beach_Ball_(Character) to separate it from, well, images tagged with beach balls? (If there's multiple, I think the tagging changes to charactername_(artistname), right?)

Yes it does. In this case, since the character name is similar like an object, the "_(character)" suffix is used. "_(artistname)" is used only if the name conflicts with another character's name from others artists.

Is there a problem with the tag? I just used it as an example, though. But I can check and fix some. and some more later

Edit: There were just two images tagged with beach_ball that didn't have a visible beach ball but all Beach Ball (char) were correctly tagged.

I used beach_ball ~otter ~pony as search terms

I already see this happening, so I don't see why it'd be a problem in this case. mightyena implicates hyena and fennekin implicates fennec

I'm really against these existing implications for a reason explained in forum #67084
And I'm against this as well.

It's really not a good moment to say that something happens always if species was just introduced and there are not that many pics of it.

Hum. I noticed a few that weren't tagged, but I guess someone silently cleaned them up beforehand. o.o

I disagree. Unlike its pre-evolution, Goodra doesn't usually look like a slug to me -- and I wouldn't tag it as one.

Obviously: a Pokemon ia a species. ut unlike a Fennec who is a Fox, I would not deem a Pikatchu a rodent, even if it is a mouse or rat in design. same for Vulpix, which is a fox in design, but it is mainly a Pokemon and NOT any kind of Vulpes (unless drawn in a style that mekes it more foxlike.
