Last time I uploaded some stuff, it got deleted. The reason was "Did not meet minimum quality standards". I contacted a mod to inquire as to why it didn't meet the standard, but never got any reply.

It gets several upvotes and faves, gets moderator approved, and just a few days later is deleted for not meeting the "quality standards".

Please explain why this was at first (because it was approved) considered to meet the standards, then deleted. Is it because it WASN'T porn? Or because it wasn't a long enough animation? Or because animated, safe-rated GIFs of furry TV shows aren't allowed (https://e621.net/post/show/399690 or https://e621.net/post/show/377050 or https://e621.net/post/show/353158)?

Sorry if I sound like I'm raging, I'm just annoyed that this was deleted despite there being no evidence for it not meeting the "quality standard" when it is no different or worse than the posts I just mentioned. Can someone explain to me?

Yep. I'd say that two of those examples are low-quality, but still humorous enough to keep. And the first one is high-quality.

Whereas the one that you posted is a generic TV-quality (complete with the channel logo) clip.

But still, why delete if it's popular? It got about 10 upvotes before it got deleted, so some people obviously enjoyed it.

Who did you write about the deletions? I checked my Inbox and I couldn't find a Dmail from you, despite being the one who deleted them.

As to why I deleted them, the Fallout Screenshots were deleted because they were grainy and taken at low to medium settings without AntiAliasing or anything else active, making them look bad.
(If you wish to take screenshots, get into position, freeze the game [the console command for Fallout 3 would be "tfc 1" for that] crank up everything to ultra and then take the screenshot while everything looks nice, reduce settings and then continue playing).

The other one was deleted because it was a boring gif without polishing, making it look bad as well.

And I'm happy to say I wouldn't have approved anything besides https://e621.net/post/show/377050 and https://e621.net/post/show/353158.
The rest makes me want to gouge out my eyes.
