I have two questions for one topic.
They both result from a problem I have: I can't find one of my favorite flash (I forgot to add to favorites).
1) Is there other ways to research something?
I've already wasted 20 minutes with tags only.

2) Is there a way to see the posts where I added a comment?
I remember that I did comment the pic, so that would also help.

You can also access them through your profile, by clicking the 'Comments' counter.

1) There's not really a better way than searching, but make sure you've reviewed our cheatsheet here so you know what search options are available to you: https://e621.net/help/cheatsheet It might help you narrow your search down more.

2) Go to your user profile and click the number beside "Comments" https://e621.net/user/show/89335. That will take you to a chronological list of all the comments you've left.
