The most that we can do to affect upgrades is that we can submit good user reports about some users.

First, I never said to fuck off, don't be so dramatic. Second, we already have an upgrade thread visible to the admins, since they are the ones who decide. Third, as husky said, you can submit a ticket recommending someone. Fourth, if you have an issue with the way we handle things, this is not the way to go about addressing it. This just looks like you're trying to create drama.

I agree with this. While the tickets listing says "User complaint", is just a mere miswording. Reports are not just for bad behaviour. Two months ago (as the ticket sez), I used it to tell admins to boop positively certain user

Anyways, I'm curious what the policy is for artists on the site. I heard that artists would get Contributor accounts if they uploaded their art here, but I'm not sure if you still do this.

I'm a bit of an artist myself and I upload my art here whenever I make it, but I don't draw very often at all. Would I still qualify, or is there some threshold I would need to meet?

I dunno. Usually artists ask an admin to upgrade their account, but since I'm no artist (and I doubt my arts, if I ever do some [not counting the tracings I've done], will appear here) I don't know what else to do. I recomment asking, though...

This is correct.

My request was for more information about the process. I was curious because it was implied that there was an actual process and wanted to know what it was.

Can we please get a rewording of the "user complaint" aspect of reporting then, please? It's been like that for as long as I can remember, and since it's an admin-=only topic we can't exactly post our commendations there. Sure, we could remember that complaint is just a typo that's remained through three+ years, but it'd be really damn nice not to have to try to remember a facet of the site that's a vanishingly small aspect. >.o That's why I made the thread in the first place. I went to report and saw complaint so made the thread.

Yeah... ive wanted to recommend an account or two over the years but the one time I "did" use the tickets to do so I was told "do not use the complaint system for things that do not violate the rules, this is your only warning."

Maybe call it "User Complaints/Commendations"

Don't make it too complex now. People already click report when fomenting (hell ive done it myself, needs a space between the buttons Cuz its hard to hit them on a touch screen)(ive done the oppisit too...sent someone a pm when I was reporting them...talk about akward.) I was going to say what about a rating board? Have users vote up or down o. A users account, User say gets 20+ upgrade to the first upgrade. 50 gets the second, 150 and a admin voucher and they might get one of the special levels like janitor in Training.

Like...maybe make some special roles for use, rewards. Give those negitive users something to work for other than trolling and pissing everyone off lol

Yeah. People who are unpopular but upload their stuff (like bsting due to his fetish or kayla due to odd censors) would be likely downvoted despite being artists submitting their work here, something they site really likes to happen. Can't trust the general public.

My small self hoped for recognition and glory in this puddle of perverts through extensive uploading of m and m/m art by artists with passable to godlike skills and their proper tagging. Yet all I ever got was one single +1 on the user record list and that one only got there because I mentioned in the forum how much I uploaded.
That's a big reason why I stopped one day. If I had gotten like 1 +1 for every 500 pictures with the eventuality of getting a privileged status (for e-pen purposes only: Look I am such a perverted freak I have a PRIVILEGED account on a website for furry porn!)...

And guess what, no one took over. Art by several of the artists I attended to isn't uploaded anymore, lower res versions are uploaded, or just a random selection of their recent works is here. Don't get me started on FF scrap folders, people don't even think about them at all most of the time.

Now I just passively use e621 and sometimes visit the forum. It's some sort of 4chan light with a lot more seriously mentally disabled people.

tl;dr lacking or rather no community contribution incentive
