Topic: Image Errors When Logged In

Posted under General

Lately I have noticed a problem with images on the site not appearing when I am logged in. I am still able to browse images and see them in thumbnail form. However, when I click on an image to enlarge it in another link, the image will not appear, only a box with a picture card with an X in it in the top left corner. Next to the box it states all the tags related to the picture. This problem persists until I log out. I am then able to view images perfectly with no problems at all. Would anyone be able to shine some insight onto this topic or maybe fix this bug?

I remember getting errors like this around 2010-2011, what browser are you using?

If you're using Chrome, press CTRL+CAPS+J to enable the Development Console and check Network to see which is the error.

It's actually CTRL+SHIFT+J. Or F12.

Internet Explorer. Lemme guess, you switched to Chrome?

Okay, I opened the console and it showed that it is being caused by an 400 Error. I am using an HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC and Im pretty sure any drivers or such are up to date. The thing is, this error only persists on e621.net and not any other site. It only persists when logged in to my e621 account, too.

Do me a favor. Tell me what settings you have set under image resizing. Do you have it set to: 1) "Resize images" where the images will be shrunk down to fit the screen, and 2) do you have "Show image samples" where images that are wider/taller than 800px will be replaced with a reduced-size image. If you do not have either of these active, try enabling one, then the other, then both to see if that makes any difference

Okay, I just noticed something new. It isn't my computer that's the problem because this error is persisting on other devices such as my Kindle Fire and my iPhone 4s. it seems as though the problem may have something to do with my account on e621 more than anything. :/

I tried both things and neither helped me out. Thanks though.

You have a longer blacklist, try clearing it and see if that helps. If all else fails, create another account and see if the problem persists
