While I get along well with all my work mates, I don't communicate much with any of them and I usually prefer to spend my lunch time alone (which at my workplace is totally socially acceptable).
Lately though I have spent my lunch times with a certain workmate (Let's call him A).
A has huge muscles and a handsome face, he cosplays as Wolverine and oh boy he wouldn't shy back from a biceps comparison. He too was one of those guys who rarely started up a conversation and yet we got along better and better.
Sadly, today was his last day at work. From now on he will work in our new sub company which is all the way over in Germany.
Anyways, yesterday when we were eating lunch at McDonalds I told him today I'd invite him for a nice restaurant as parting gift. He happily agreed.
I planned on telling him that I had a crush on him because... well I do have a crush on him, my gaydar reacted and he went out of his way to talk to me.
While I a not eager to have a long distance relationship from the get go, I thought we could get an even closer bond, maybe some... cuddling time or whatever and in the worst case he'd just leave. After all once I complete my MSC I might decide to go over to Germany as well (We need some experienced and trusted (semi) seniors to go there).
Since I wanted to look my best today I used the blonde enhancing shampoo my Russian BFF got me. It's Russian all over with no piece in English or German at all. She totally swears on it and I too use it sometimes and liked the effect. Normally I just use the medical 5.5 ph liquid soap I buy in big batches.
Anyways, I used lots and lots of it on my head and the foam (lather?) was very thick and full of undissolved yellow shampoo.
There was so much foam that a huge piece of it dropped from my hair when I bent over a little, that it fell off!
It fell on my nose and guess what, I inhaled deeply just at that moment. My whole nose was burning horribly and I spent 15 minutes letting water rinse through my nose, yet the burning didn't get better, it got much, much worse and some blood was dripping from my nose.
I managed to drive to the hospital.
They determined that the shampoo was caustic on it's own yet I have a heavy contact allergy against some of the natural plant/oil ingredients of it and both problems aggravated each other very, very badly.
Now I will stay in the hospital for three days while I am not allowed to breath through my nose (which is pointless anyways because my smelling stopped working).
I will probably never see my coworker again and I ruined my sense of smell (hopefully not permanently).
I cried a little bit and was very sad but I am all better now. Luckily I have my laptop with me so I can do some work.
