Was going through my favorites and noticed a couple of different posts having dupes, the dupes in question being next to each other like a pair. Anyone else getting this? They aren't parent or child posts.

Maybe someone uploaded a child/parent and didn't bother/know to/how to link them?

Weird, not sure why that would happen. Your name also shows up twice in the fave-lists for those posts when you look at them.

Have you tried removing the duplicate faves and adding them back again? (assuming that it would delete both faves when you remove just one)

Managed to reproduce it.

Occasionally a page loads with both the +Favorite and -Favorite buttons, what I've noticed seems to be from either when the page suddenly stops loading or if the JavaScript doesn't execute properly for whatever reason. When the two buttons are there, hit +Favorite and wait for it to be added to your favorites, hit -Favorite but click +Favorite a second time before the post can be removed and the picture is then favorited twice. I can hardly see this being accidentally reproduced, so the OP might've done it in a different way but hey this works too.

When I check both posts of a pair of dupes, it says I haven't favorited them at all. Let me check.

EDT: Yep, only the + favorite option is there. Cannot un-favorite to stamp out the dupes.

The e621 API doesn't let me fave a post multiple times.
It returns the HTTP code "423 Locked".

And if I fave a post via the API and then try to fave it manually, e621 displays this message:
Error: You've already favorited this post
