Topic: What's your favorite comic? (Let's compile the best of the best!)

Posted under Art Talk

Hello everyone.

I love when artists go all out and put a ton of effort into a full scale comic strip, and wanted to know if you guys had any favorites of your own that you'd like to mention? Here's a list of some I found very well done!

~ A Tale of Tails By Feretta, is by far my most favorite here on e621. The art is great, the story is great, it has 103 pages!!!! and is still running strong.

~ Class Punishment By Aogami, is an interesting concept to say the least. Probably extremely inappropriate for a teacher to actually do though. A short and swift comic :)

~ Rocket Motel By HHarlequin and Palcomix Team, is very well drawn and a decent length. The concept fits well in the Pokemon story (minus the XXX rating of course)

~ Food For Thought By Joe Randel, is a humorous, well drawn way of teaching everyone how to shop for groceries

~ A Long Way Down By Scappo, is still in the works, and is yet another well drawn, long-running commic.

~ A Stranger In Your Own Shoes By Devoid-Kiss, has 13 pages and still cumming (Coming****).

~ Midnight Movie By Bonk, is short and sweet. 10 pages of gorgeous/sexy material

~ The date by black-kitten, is slowly making it's way through the pages, currently at 14. Something to keep an eye on.

~ Knot Gonna Happen By Aogami. Another one from Aogami, a bit of a comedic end to some great content. With a hint of a sequel?

~ Train Rush By Chinpo, is awesome! Only 9 Pages, but very well done!

~ Ohio Heat By harmarist and kitaness, is fantastically done

~ Friday Night Heat Wolfy-nail, is 11 pages long, and well... it's wolfy-nail... you can't go wrong.

~ Stable Girls by Sabretoothed Ermine, is 6 pages with an incredible concept! Great artwork too!

~ Nature's Lure By Arctic-Sekai, has a fantastic concept in it and a great sex scene. Hopefully we see more in the future

~ Epic Journeys & Random Encounters By drgraevling, is simply astonishing. Amazing artwork, fantastic scenes, and very long running at 81 pages!!!

~ Love can be different [colored] By Miles_df, a great, romantic comic. Highly suggested!

~ Family Secret By Lonewolf, Another long-running comic with some great concepts. 66 pages!!!

I disagree with most of these.

I'm just going to offer up one.

Dragon's Burn

The first few pages are quite different from the rest of the comic. It is also not really a porn comic. It is also very well written. Seriously. If you want something amusing, go. Go now.

then theres Baer Nuts by Alison Acton and Housepets

i also used to keep up with Underling but that seems as if it died back in 2013. :/

This may sound like a lot of Onta fanboy shit, but here:

"A good thing"
"Cross Platform"
"Sticks and stones"
"projections"
"One last load"

^ Those are ONta

"The Hoss-House" - (If there was more if it that would be good)
"Savor the flavor"

That's pretty much all I know.

yep, i came across a page of it while browsing around here randomly one day and one google search later... :)

actually, i think that's the first web comic of such particularly high quality that i've ever come across. i wonder if anyone else around here knows of others that are high quality like that.

I second that specially those comics that involve the siamese twins.

Dragon's burn is good, very funny and also a bit heavy.

Ehs, an ongoing silent comic by Slypon.

Scenario by Trunchbull. I feel this deserves waaay more attention than it's getting.

Lotsa short comics by Meesh. Eye Candy is a good one.

Rough Upbringing and A Lesson Learnt by Jasonafex and Kabier

some unnamed, short, cute story by Jailbird

3 Dog Christmas and the unfinished 3 Dog Night, by Demicoeur

There Are No Hyenas In This Comic, by Sefeiren.

Sheath and Knife by Harmarist.

and a classic, The Deep Dark, by Redrusker. Pretty much timeless literature by this point

So far, Rukis' Cruelty & Unconditional] are the best story-driven furry comic I have seen. I could say the same about the Red Lantern series but its story progression is taking too long(story began 4 years ago).Anybody know any good story-driven furry comics out there?

Artist made that first cover image and then the rest of the comic isn't porn.

I died a little bit inside when I discovered that.

Totally forgot to mention my favorite comic. Battle Dog

It is NOT pornographic in any sense. It's not really furry either. But jeez, it is enjoyable to read. It takes a bit to get started, but if you do give it a chance, try sticking around until the return of Scapula.

Furry comics?
Uhh... Well, there's plenty of good porn, but good stories are far rarer.

Donjon series by Joann Sfar and Lewis Trondheim is one of my favorites, but only a couple of albums have been translated to English. It's an epic multi-volume fantasy story, spanning several centuries. Usually humorous, but it does get grim at times. Especially towards the end.

And speaking of stories that get darker towards the end, there's Dave Sim's Cerebus series. It starts as a humorous Conan ripoff starring an anthro aardvark, but then gets gradually more and more dramatic. Worth a read, though it drags on at times.

pretty sure Lackadaisy (see my links above) is story driven. only 141 pages so far so it's not that old or among the longer comics i've read (Akuma's main comic over at the middle ground is currently at page 2030 after 12-13+ years now and Lyger and Khran's comic [wtf] is at page 1864. both are also story driven for the most part iirc.) but it looks awesome for a comic.

-_- i believe that mr. Eastwood has a valid argument in the 4th panel here

when you put it that way, a good number of religions certainly do sound like cults, don't they?
