Actually if it's as far separate as cousins it takes more than one generation for significant effects caused by inbreeding.

Wrong and right are just a point of view. I prefer this view: Anything you do will have consequences (good, bad, or neutral). As long as one is willing to accept the consequences of an action, go for it.

That said:

Socially: Yes, there is a taboo. However, past third cousin the taboo is usually gone.

Medically: Close relations that result in a child run double the risk (on average) of birth defects (4% vs 2%). Though depending on other factors the chance could go much higher (particularly if recessive traits run in the family).

Since Adam and Eve were the first parents, everyone else came from their kids, who are all brothers and sisters.
So, that would make incest ok according to the bible probably.
