i wholeheartedly denounce that. there are many problems with the 360 that pc is superior in. primarily, you don't have to pay to just be able to play online.
pc games are cheaper, if you pay for them at all.

graphics are better because graphic hardware is constantly upgrading, where areas 360 is still stuck on dx 8.1.

Games have better communities, i base this claim on the fact that pc games are constatnly modded and said mods are shared, along with custom personal servers. (for example, if you wanted to play with e621 members, you could a) grab everyones gamer tag and wait for them to come online, or b) make a dedicated server for a game and everyone hops in when they feel like it)

pc may be more expensive initially, but they pay for themselves in the long run. a good entry level gaming pc with dx 11 graphics can run about 700 dollars. thats an xbox with a gold membership, a few controllers and maybe a game or two. within the year, you will have payed more for xbox because of games and online play, while on pc you may have not even payed for those 40 games your playing.

does it take some smarts to do that, maybe a bit, but if your chose pc over xbox, then you're not stupid.

the way i see it, if it keeps people from raging on other threads that have NOTHING to do with video games( i'm looking at you), it shouldn't matter, since the only people that should be reading this are people with an opinion on the subject. and why do you say trolling? no one's trying to get people pissed off yet, i've only seen opinions here, some unfounded, but opinions non the less.

if i had the choice, i would pick PC over gaming console any day. i personally like the older games and since i can just download emulators and roms, PC is perfect for me.

It's really hard to hack a PS3, practically impossible to hack a 360, but the PC is riddled with hackers, modders, and fag switchers. i never have problems with hackers and modders when playing online games such as halo custom edition. i admit i do get tempted to use my aimbot now and again. there is just something i find funny about killing someone with a pistol on the other side of the map =). actually, my aimbot was very hard to find, surprisingly, and it still gets caught frequently. as for you getting your friend to hack games and ruin other peoples games.... ya that just sounds like what a complete asshole would do.

oh and another reason i like playing PC is that i can blame hackers for me losing =D something i can't do on other consoles

hckers get banned. vac and punkbuster take care of that. consoles are for people that don't game heavily, so there wouldn't be the need to put in a high amount of money initially if they're not going to use it enough to see the reward, they're for people that would like to play exclusive console only games, god knows i wanna play ssf4, but i have to stay with sf4 for now, or for people that arn't well informed about other options for gaming. constantly updating? my 5 year old laptop ran unreal 3 engine perfectly fine, but i bought a bigger one which can run anything you throw at it at a much more optimal pace than a console could dream of. mac hardware is decent, but too expensive. the software is worse than a console, and that's saying something.

I used to be a very big console player. My favorite console to date is the playstation, just because it had so many games that I enjoyed. After PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube though I stopped buying the new consoles. Shit just got waaaaaaay too expensive; from then on I got me a nice computer, and never looked back. I have a new computer now, but that old one lasted for 6+ years on a graphics card and processor even older than that, and I was still able to play most newage pc games (MW and such) at a resonable quality. I'm definately a PC gamer, but I wish I could play some of the console games from time to time. In some cases, I DO! I may not be able to play anything exclusive to 360 or PS3, but I can emulate everything from the original NES to a goddamn gamecube on this rig. Yeah, no regrets here.

a valid statement. I myself have a wii, but i never touch it aside from playing house of the dead on it, i never realized how few good games of my interest it had. as a console and not considering how 90% of its games are health/family oriented, its a stunted little thing, it's hardware is terrible, games never receives updates, most major good games that go multy console stay way clear of it, but if for some reason you like the type of games it has, it's a good console. i'll admit i enjoyed playing no more heroes on it, and it's a good gamecube emulator since i can play melee on it.

ds on the other hand lack that many good games. on mine, i usually play metal slug tetris or mario kart, and that's about it.

While some of them are lackluster, I cannot deny that there are a cubic butt ton of good games on that system. With regards to the quantity of good games, it is easily competing with, and probably has exceeded the SNES, possibly making the DS the best system of all time in my humble opinion.

It's just generally my taste in games I suppose.

I'm big on action, not so much shooter though.

Generally the genres I'm most fond of are action and adventure/rpg. But I've also been known to partake in Strategy, and more oddball type puzzleish games like Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center.

I am currently playing Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Also did Shadows of the Colossus, Soul Caliber 3, Phantom Brave, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Bros Wii, Mario Galaxy 2, and Rune Factory Frontier. Also recently enjoyed some retro games, Super Mario 64 and Chrono Cross.

Oh yeah, and World of Warcraft in my spare time.

I guess that amounts for what I played in June.

every system, console, and everything with working gears or heating components degrade over time. ps3's used to overheat, but they have improved thier hardware, rrod are still at about 45% failure rate, while pc's always depends on how well you take care of it, which is usually nothing more than opening every 3rd month and cleaning up some dust.
