I was messing around with some stuff and somehow ended up making this:

Each data point represents the average number of posts per day for that month (posts in month / 30).

Wait, by posts do you mean images uploaded or comments or what?
I don't think I see 160 uploads go through here per day right now.

Uploads, and I checked, this post was uploaded midnight on Feb. 7, 2011:
http://e621.net/post/show/115465
And this one was uploaded midnight, Feb. 8, 2011:
http://e621.net/post/show/115677
115677 - 115465 = 211 posts uploaded on Feb. 7, 2011.
By the way, this counts all posts, including deleted ones.
Or, more simply, this is every post uploaded on Feb. 7, 2011:

I swear I was the reason for that minor increase at the end of the graph.

What was going on in Sep. 2010?
That's a lot of posts for that month!

I shifted the months over by one, since before, a high value for Sept. 2010 meant a lot of uploads between Aug. 1 and Sept. 1, which was misleading. Now it would mean a lot of uploads between Sept. 1 and Oct. 1.
And I dunno what happened in August 2010, but I believe September was when the site was down for a week during the ownership change.
