Topic: admins a little slow in approving?

Posted under General

I dunno, but I thought they were pretty quick at approving posts. But the ones I uploaded yesterday are still unapproved. How long would you wait?

Updated by Blaziken

normally 24 hours.. someone usually approves them by then.

Why are you so concerned with approval time?

then I can upload more.

quite frankly, I think they forgot about my submissions because of the recent downtime. It's been 2 days.

Updated by anonymous

I'm sorry, but all the submissions have either been approved or denied.

Oh I know. But not an hour beforehand. I will thank you though for approving them. My autism does sometimes get me fixed on things like this even though I can and should wait.

nah they still slow. normally 24 hours but can be several days before they get to some submissions.

Yeah we totally just need to chain the admins to their computer desks so they can be on e621 24/7.

Or bribe them with sex. Admins' always so horny

Updated by anonymous

lol I was kidding but Aurali up there said that submissions "usually" get approved in 24 hours so I misread the whole thing.

Updated by anonymous

I usually do a lot of approving but I haven't been able to get on much lately, sorry.

I can wait. It's just that I don't know the timeframe. I will wait a week from now on.

Updated by anonymous

As long as they aren't auto-deleting them after three days, I don't mind a wait.

I'm guessing you've been to danbooru? Apparently they only accept Anime art...I think that's bogus of them.

And Gelbooru only accepts Japanese art. Absurd, but eh.. The site is trouble enough with heaps upon heaps of reposts, undertagging, full-page ads, etc.. Hell, of their 1027834 images (wait, a million?!), 235138 are tagged with "tagme": 23%, or about a quarter. e621 has 288/107158: .3%.

Updated by anonymous

problem is people forget to take tagme off after they tag it =/

Don't trust the numbers on the sidebar. There's actually closer to 800 images.

Updated by anonymous

and the real question is, Is everything that SHOULD be labeled 'tagme' labeled properly?

Updated by anonymous

We will be especially grateful if someone could fix the fixmes for us...

Updated by anonymous

some morons are leaving in the "tagme" tag when they tag the picture. so the number is surely inflated.

Updated by anonymous

and some, surely are never tagged 'tagme' in the first place...

Updated by anonymous

"tagme" shouldn't be a valid tag. In fact if someone uploads a picture with the only tag being "tagme" they should automatically be banned for a week.

Seconded so hard it doesn't feel it until next week.

You're all retarded for the following reason: We have people who mass upload multiple images in a short span of time; I do it myself on occasion. Additionally it's much faster to go back and mass edit the tags afterward.

Solution is simple folks. If you see a tagme, delete it and add proper tags only if you are capable of doing so without injury to yourself or others. I know this might pose a challenge to some of you, but try to do your best.

As for those who routinely don't tag their images, they get caught eventually.
