I joined recently cause I saw some pictures of mine (or commissioned by me) that were uploaded and I wanted to tag them properly. ^^

I read the help for tagging and saw that you can make a special tag to distinguish between artists, chars and so on.

But when I pressed edit, I did not see the 'artist:' in front of the name even though it was originally marked as such. Does that mean I have to re-enter all special tags when I edit tags?

For example: http://www.e621.net/post/show/39213/3d-anal-balls-big_balls-dildo-donkey-equine-flash-
This was done by h0rs3 and the charakter is mine.
When I edit the tags, do I now have to write 'artist:' in front of 'h0rs3' and add 'char:sen_grisane' or does e621 remember what the tag was?

Commenting: Commenting is locked down for a week (I think) after account creation, uploading longer (I think).

No, you do not need to re-apply tag modifiers like artist: or character: every time you edit tags.

nah, the worst thing that happens i that some people give you trouble in the comments. don't let them get to you. if you ask for helpful crit after you post, you'll probably get a few comments that are helpful :)
