We're not loop-holing, but we're being funny and adding something to the picture, so generally the admins don't mind. So long as we don't go into creepo "I wanna do x x and x" to your body territory, we're generally fine.

Creepy may be subjective, but they do give warnings before bans are handed out. "Don't be creepy" is a pretty obvious rule to follow though.

As for the whole RPing thing, I have fun with it. And that's why I do it. It's fun! A LOT of fun. I especially love all the funny back-and-forth's me and Celestia have.

No offense, but that can be a dangerous move. Roommates can be some of the most vindictive and evil people ever. You know the saying "you don't truly know someone until you live with them..."? Well, it's a saying for a reason. Moving to another country to live with a friend sounds fun but for the love of the flying spaghetti monster, make sure you have a way to live without depending on said friend, just in case. You have jobs already lined up for you? If not, get a nice solid sum of money to support yourself until you can find one. I take it that your boyfriend is from Quebec, right? And you do have/will have shortly your work visa? Otherwise that's going to cause a load of complications. At least one good thing, if it gets desperate enough- the welfare payout is the highest in Quebec, nearly a thousand dollars expendable income per month for a couple (not including rent- that gets more).

My boyfriend is from California, actually. But the friend we are living with is engaged and both of them have a well paying job. It was planned that my boyfriend will go ahead of me and spend at least a month up there getting a job. If he does get a job, I'm on the next plane out there; If he cannot, we call it off and head back to the states.

Currently, he's a self-employed commissions artist and makes very nice pay off of that. Should we decide not to call it off, commission work should keep him stable long enough to continue looking for a job. Otherwise, he alone has over $1000 saved up, just in case. He already speaks French, as he was lucky enough to learn the language through High School.

I, on the other hand, am not so lucky :\
I've learned only a very little amount of the language, and my tutor has ceased contact with me. I've done some short studies off of web-pages for free, but nothing has stuck we me like it has when I was tutored. A few friends have offered to buy Highschool/College textbooks, "My French Coach" for the DS, or just straight up Pirate Rosetta Stone. It's also good to note that I've been struggling to find a job for the last 3 years... So, my money outlook is very bleak.

Nonetheless, money or not, if my Boyfriend does get a job, he's agreed to fund my move up there. So right now, the things I am most worried about are the Passport and learning the language. I haven't stopped looking for a job either... But I've -still- not been successful. It... baffles me greatly how places like Wal-Mart (where 3 of my family members have worked for years), Target (where I know a number of people who work there) and even goddamned MCDONALDS... all don't want me!

I know what you mean. I've been rejected by every major corporation, even though I'm way more than qualified for any part-time position. I mean, I'm still in college with good grades, I have no criminal record, I've never been fired (only held one part-time job, but I quit for school).

The secret is their bullshit online application questions. You know, all the ones where they ask you if you get stressed under new circumstances eight different ways. That behavioral analysis goes to a third party and runs through an automated algorithm, so you can be rejected before a human even knows you've applied. Lowe's was at least kind enough to e-mail me and tell me that, but I got it 24 hours after applying, so I know a human didn't see it, that's not enough time for their third party to run all their background checks.

And that's why I'm today going to be applying with a local business as an "Animal Waste Removal Technician." That is, a pooper scooper.

I believe ACE, I did that online, and it probably never made it to the store. But the other two, I handed in a paper application. I'm sick of it.
