Probably only works for privileged accounts (I assume it has to do with it using up more CPU time than normal searches).

Somebody please tell me what the point is to searching for an excluded tag by itself? Wouldn't it make more sense to use exclusions in conjunction with the included tags? Normally you exclude a tag because you don't want it included, it seems only natural that you would not see any results...

Well, (multiple term) exclusive-only searches are useful for finding poorly-tagged things. But IIRC the search term limits were shifted to Danbooru defaults of 2/6 in V2.2, so...

well, what if someone floods the site with gay pics? so i'd use -gay to see the rest.

well, sometimes i want to see gay pics. some days i don't. going back and editing my blacklist every time is annoying. if only excluded tags adds too much strain on the server, or something like that (i'm not an internet expert), i can live without it, but it's just a convenient feature.

and if it was like that, it would be very easy to tell us so, wasn't it? i, for myself don't like to see males, herms & penisses - so i search for pics not including these things - whats so hard to understand about that?
