so, i just read, the filenames are the md5-hashes of the files... that's fine, but would it be difficult to implement a 'name file by tags'-option? or did i just overlook this option? ;)
as i don't decrypt the md5-codes by viewing them, it would be awesome to have a better way of sorting pictures...

Agree.

Its real pain when you are downloading comic,and all file names are randomized,and spend 10 min sorting trough pages and renaming them manually.
Also,Paheal Rule 34 site has that system,I don't see why we couldn't just merge some stuff from there.Featured image is another thing I'd like to see here.

hm... maybe option for comics,instead downloading pic by pic,there is option to download entire comic (pool) and all those pics are named by their pool IDs?That would solve my comic problem,but as for suicicoo one,apparently no solutions,other than naming pics by their post ID numbers.

I'm sure this feature doesn't have to be added to e621 itself.

I think the point was against using particular code, rather than against filenames. She said she was looking into changing the way filenames work.
