Topic: A place to upload stories/fiction?

Posted under Off Topic

Hey all. I've been writing a *ahem* lets say 'mature' furry fiction and I was wondering if there's any places where I could upload it? I feel the crowd here would be more likely to know a good place than any other furry site I go on, and you'd probably appreciate it more as well. >.>

(sorry if there's actually a story section here. I didn't think to look, but I've been on this site a while and I can't ever remember seeing a section for that...)

No, there isn't a story section and there never will be.

And how would you know that?

I doubt you guys will want to do the work to make it happen, since most people who come here probably won't care about a story section either.

Still, you couldn't say that for sure.

I know, but it is highly unlikely for an image board to try and accomodate fiction.

As an image archive, why would we even consider adding something like stories?

Both of those suggested sites look like they aren't that big on the 'mature content' thing. >.> I was hoping there might be something a bit less FurAffinity and a bit more e621?

It was created as an imageboard... we could diversify.

It's been said before it will never happen.

Ah, thanks Claw stripe. That looks like a site that'll be a bit more welcoming. ^.^

It would be a pretty cool guy to put that feature here.

It would be a combo breaker to put this post here.

Why would it be such a bad idea? We'd be accommodating the subset of users who like stories too.

Could make a separate site like with 20pc. Instead of thumbnails have lists (tables) of titles (+author, date, other fields), includes tag system, whatever. Individual pages wikified for collaborative editing, uploaders/admins choose "stable version".

Or make it a subdomain or directory of e621.net.

I actually have an extention for ouroboros half built for a story system.

Anyhow. Completely different system, not compatible with ouroboros prime.

Using Command Prompt, hide an archived text document within an image file and then upload the resulting image:

1. Add the text document to a .zip or .rar archive
2. Put an image file in same directory
3. Navigate to the directory in command prompt and use command:
copy /b Image.JPG+FileToHide.ZIP ResultingImage.JPG

Reverse process by right clicking ResultingImage.JPG and Open With a file archive program, eg. 7zip, winzip, winrar.

Probably just javascript or flash. Or a browser hijack.

I'm also honestly weary of text archives of this sort. There's quite a bit of potential abuse and quality issues to be had. (since this would be a generic story dump as opposed to account controlled) Not that it's ipossible, but there's plenty of reasons why there isn't any available as far as I know.

Wow, I have no idea what you guys are talking about anymore. >.>

Tis a shame that they don't allow stories here. I don't see why not, but I suppose there must be a good reason behind it.

Anyway, I landed on AFF's (Adult Fanfiction) original stories section to upload them. It's not a furry-specific site, but they seem more than happy to allow such stories. They've got an Anthro tag and everything. To those who were interested, here's my profile;

Question! About this inkbunny site, do I upload text files as Journals? Or is it supposed to go through the standard submission thing?

Use the standard submission thing. Once you've uploaded your text file and are ready to fill out the details for it, you'll get a box which will allow you to copy and paste in the story for immediate reading if someone doesn't want to download the submitted file.

I like the idea of lit.e621.net if such a thing ever does happen. Still say keep it simple and say no to text in general.
