I used to do a lot of role playing when I was younger, and I miss it. All of my old friends have sadly moved on and I no longer stay in contract with any of them.

I've done mostly werewolf romance RPs... that's basically furry, right? :P Be warned that I'm only semi-literate and my werewolf is a Mary Sue-ish character. I'm big with size play and size based domination and usually my RP partners like me playing the dominate role so I usually play the largest werewolf there is, but I'm willing to try some new things. I have a straight preference but I don't mind male/male, although I am a little picky about it (I don't think its pleasurable for a huge guy taking a much smaller one for example.)

I've been looking for a place to find a new RP partner for a while now but I heard FA isn't very friendly... so what better place to look than here?

Then go somewhere else. Role play is frowned upon here.

Believe it or not, there are better places to look than here. Asking for RP just gets you laughed at (forum #21919).

Sigh, do you guys think he's a mind reader? Be happy that he's asking first. And where are these "other places to roleplay" you are always using as an excuse for throwing RP fans out? Just an idea, if you don't want RPers around here, then show them one of these sites you are talking about and everyone is happy.

Or at the least clearly state somewhere in the forum rules that role plays and role play requests aren't allowed.

There are, however, rules against being creepy. And the line is thin.

Except, no. Self-proclaimed ponies aren't allowed to "go nuts". There are rules in place (see forum #21857), there have been crackdowns, and people have even been banned.

That's not to say that RP is forbidden (it isn't). But this isn't really the place to find a serious RP buddy.
