Topic: color tags

Posted under General

when I search a color, I expect to see something with the majority of that color, not just one splotch or "socks" or something in that color.

I wanted to find a white male wolf standing alone, so I searched: white wolf solo male

I got this, which is neither white nor a wolf:

Looks reasonably like a wolf to me (half dragon too but still half wolf). As for white, who knows why it's on there.

It looks more like a fox, just judging by how the artist colored the image, to me at least. I can see how one might think it's a wolf by how the face is structured, but given how the rest of him is drawn, I'd say he's more fox-dragon then anything. Maybe there's some wolf in there, but that's just the way I see it.

Also, Someones gamma must be way off. lol.

I do agree that color tags need to be reserved for things that stand out, not necessarily a list of every damn color in the image. If the image is primarily black and white, but has a bright bit of red in it, then it's probably fine to tag red.

I thought we were going to get rid of basic colours as tags.
