Topic: Girls who draw porn: Fanservice or Headwindow?

Posted under Off Topic

I guess it's because you so seldom hear them talk about their darkest fantasies in person, IRL, that girls who draw porn fascinate me.

Do you draw what you'd like to participate in, or are you just giving the fans what they want?

And yes, I'm talking to you, Mel. We'll never meet and I have no idea what you look like, so c'mon, tell me.

My sister just draws things because she wants to draw them (barring the occasional commission). While some of them could be considered pornographic, she herself is asexual.

Asexuals who draw porn... I guess anything's possible in this world.

edit: Personally, I believe that females draw porn to get attention. Not because they're horny.

Or to make money.

When you view the world without hormones, artistic merit can be its own reward.

Or for practice. Studying realism means that you're studying the body as a whole, and the many poses it can take in life. If you limit yourself to clothed models or safe poses then you're severely limiting your education.

There's nothing wrong with asking a girl if she has rape fantasies and if that's her artistic motivation. Well, nothing wrong with asking about it here.

Actually, I don't think that's something you should ever try to work into a conversation.

Why?

If a woman draws porn of women, I think "Why did you decide to do this?" is a perfectly legitimate question. Heck, it's a perfectly legitimate question for any artist.

You most certainly can ask that of a woman with whom you're close, like your girlfriend or wife.

Wouldn't you, as a woman, want your lover to fulfill your fantasies? Would you actually go your entire married life without telling your husband you like to be slapped or choked or have your hair pulled during sex?

I do it because I like to, and I do it because I like to make money.

My adult has nothing to do with my own sexual fantasies. I get the inspiration to draw something, and I do it.

I never talk about my desires with people over the net; I don't know anyone on the other side of the screen, and they have no business of knowing what I like to think about in that manner since they are not my significant other.

Why are you targeting this question towards me, anyway?

"Targeting" is a bit harsh. Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned you, as an example. My apologies for putting you on the spot.

However, can it not be said that your artwork shows everyone on the other side of the screen what you like to think about in that manner? Doesn't it take effort and thought to render erotic scenarios so vividly?

Yes but that doesn't necessarily mean that's what I like to do, personally.

It depends on the person. I know of a few women who like to draw porn, but are way too shitty to actually make money off of it. So they just do what they like.

...I guess.

I think I'd wait for them to broach the topic. Anything else would be creepy.

Not being a woman, I can't say for certain how they'd go about it (though I doubt all women would go about it in an identical fashion). As a guy, I wouldn't expect my (hypothetical) lover to do anything they weren't comfortable with.

If I were the husband, I'm afraid I wouldn't be comfortable fulfilling such requests. Which definitely makes it something that should be brought up; just by the sub, not the significant other.
