What are the file types currently allowed on e621?
Is there a wiki page with this information?

jpg/png/gif/swf, I would imagine. Why would you try uploading anything else :P

I'd very much like to post this FLV:
http://www.kontraband.com/videos/19070/Sexy-Sheep-Shearing/

But when I tried, the upload tab seemed to get stuck in an infinite loop.
Are FLV files allowed on e621?
And is there some kind of error message when you try to upload a non-allowed file type?

Dunno about the error but i'm pretty confident we only allow swfs.

FLV is flash video - not vector animation like in SWF or SVG. It would be like uploading AVIs, MOVs, MPEGs, MKVs to here.

If it were properly embedded into a swf, it wouldn't be a problem.

Bumping for question. I finally found a free converter that makes stuff into .swf files. I tried uploading a 1280x720 file that's 62.7MB, and it said that the connection timed out or something. Then I tried to upload a 480x360 file that's 25.7MB, and it does the same thing. any suggestions?

Get a better connection?

If it was a 504 error (gateway timeout), you can adjust it in firefox (network.http.keep-alive.timeout - mine's set to 300, default's in double digits, I think.) at least.

I set my shit to 500 and it still doesn't work. It keeps on saying "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading".
