I most certainly had a happy day. Got surprised while working on commissions with a bouquet of roses from my boyfriend. Bein' oldschool never hurts. <3

It's not oldschool, it's consumerism at its' finest/worst, depending on if you're a stockholder or not. It isn't even a real holiday, it's manufactured to guilt you into spending money on shit.

I admit that, while it may be because I'm not the most sappy person and I have a slight fear of balloons, I don't really understand why those are standard presents though they are rather pretty. I guess because in my mind I always felt like the presents were supposed to represent the intent.

Like, I'd be appreciative if someone gave me flowers but in the back of my head I wouldn't be able to shake my personal opinion that "These flowers look amazing now but are going to wrinkle up and die very soon. Is this the representation of our relationship?" I'm probably overthinking it but I'd much rather gift someone something that would last or could be used practically :X

I tend to not overthink gifts really, I was more focused on the gesture, than that fact that they will eventually die soon. xD I told him that in past relationships, I've never received flowers or chocolates before we got together (We're tied to the hip where marriage is very much a possibility). So the fact that he surprises me with a decent sized bouquet of roses kind of lets me know that he's paying attention to me, which is +++ for me.

Yeah at the heart, it's the thought that counts and whether you know your partner well enough to know what they like the most or not, it's still sweet.

I mentioned that to him after a friend of mine told me he got edible flowers for his mom. lol bookmarked the page where he got them from. I totally forgot that people make fruit flower bouquets now.

Yeah, those things look amazing. I love fruit <3 and it's such a neat idea.

I just kind of ended up doodling stuff for people like usual. Haha, that's kind of cheap on my part cause I draw all the time :V I also sculpted some necklaces for my girlfriend and my Master on top of getting the latter partner new underwear cause he eats holes in his somehow.

My roommmate and I had also arranged a small fursuit outing to hand out candy and cards to passerbys around lunch time at a local downtown spot to cheer other busy people up. Lots of fun :)

I've had those fruit flower bouquets, and it happened that it had chocolate-covered pineapple and strawberries~ :β
