Topic: Quasi-Philosophical Sexual Question(s)

Posted under Off Topic

Question:
(This one applies to real life)
You go to sleep. When you wake up the next day (and it is the next day), you're the opposite gender. You don't know how you got this way. You don't know what how this is possible. You don't know if this has happened to anyone before. You don't even know how long it'll last. You do know that it's not a dream, or a trick or an illusion or surgery or cosmetics or whatever. For no reason, you are the opposite gender. Everything is as it was before you went to sleep. If you are attracted to the same sex, you may or may not still be now. If you are attracted to the opposite sex, you may or may not still be now.

What's the first thing you do? Or, if you wish to add specifics, what do you do for the rest of your life?

I'd be the happiest person ever. I'd probably spend my day first making sure that everything works properly, then I'd go to everyone who ever told me I was supposed to be female and tell them to suck it. After that I have no idea how long it'd last...so I'd enjoy it as much as possible until it either went back to "normal" or turned out to be a permanent change, in which case I'd just live my life the same way I do now minus the monthly problems and criticism often experienced for being a guy who just happens to not have a dick. Also I definitely wouldn't miss being called "she" all the time.

Updated by anonymous

I think I might be happier too... Although I feel that females can often be treated worse than males because of sexism and gender roles, at least I personally wouldn't be seen as such a weirdo. I'd be able to do all the "girly" things I've wanted to without any fear of being labelled or judged, it'd be easier to find acceptance. I'd stick with my mate, I know she'd be fine with it~ (Well, she'd have quite a bit of "fun" with it <3)

If I didn't have a mate though, it'd be tough to find someone. I'd be expected to go for a male, which frankly, a large majority is just shit. As for searching for a female, I'm afraid I have little insight on how that'd go, except that I'd have an even harder time dealing with males who have a "thing" for "lesbian action".
--

You know what? I just hate most guys. How the hell do I call myself bisexual? Because I only want that rare exception who feels he doesn't have to follow the womanizing manly routine that's expected of him. As a preference, I like feminine guys, and that is virtually impossible to find because of damn social stigma. And that is who *I* want to be... ugh, I hate people...

The first thing I'd do is panic for a couple of hours. Then I'd probably get, using the politest terms possible, "curious" about my body parts. After satiating that interest, my next stop would be my doctor. Proving my identity would be... interesting, I'm sure.

From there, I'd probably spend the next several months flabbergasting the medical community and, once news inevitably leaks of my unusual condition, I'd probably spend the rest of my life dodging both the paparazzi and whatever sex-obsessed hordes come to harass me.

I'd probably end up living the life of a complete shut-in, with bars on the windows and afraid to so much as open the curtains for fear of whatever stalkers constantly surround me. Afraid to so much as step outside, poor diet and complete obliteration of what limited exercize I get would probably mean my weight problems would spiral out of control, and I'd die of a heart attack by the age of 40 at an approximate weight of 500 pounds.

If I'm lucky, the stalker who breaks into my house will have pity on me and not defile my dead body, though no doubt my corpse would get a second 15 minutes of fame as news outlets mention my tragic death.

This is a really depressing topic.

Wonder if my belly fat finally ate my cock.

What, you expected a serious answer?

Updated by anonymous

This topic reminds me of the book "Things not seen" I read while in school.

The story is based around the protagonist, Bobby, who wakes up one morning and suddenly finds himself invisible.

To answer your question, AshuraK. I really don't know what I would do if I woke up the opposite sex. I don't think I would mind it at all since I've wandered, from time to time, what it would be like.

Updated by anonymous

I'd brush my teeth, shower, eat breakfast, and go to work.

Updated by anonymous

I'd mind. I've wondered. But I've not wondered enough to want to go and be the opposite sex for the rest of my life. I'm in the body I'm supposed to be in, and the thought of switching permanently terrifies me. Sure, it'd be fun off and on, getting to experience the other side, playing with the bits I do so adore on others any time I want, that sort. But in general, it would be depressing. Though I'm physically attracted to the same sex, I can't date them, so I would have little in the way of relationships. Homosexuality is still difficult to be open with. I'd have strings of one night stands and probably start doing drugs. I'd have to go into hiding and be on government welfare. I mean really, how can you get a job when you're suddenly not the sex listed on all of your identification? So you'd have to go get new id's. Then the people would freak and you'd have to go to doctors. Suddenly the word's out. I'd have to leave my friends and family. My family's all religious, they'd want to do all sorts of praying over me all the time. And who hasn't thought "If my best friend X were the other gender, would I do them?" So suddenly that's awkward with my roommates, so on so forth. It wouldn't be long before I committed suicide, I'm sure.

Alrighty then, next question:
Same as the first one, only replace "you" with "everyone".
Young, old, every race, all species are affected.

My answer may be a little creepy. Not totally sure.

I'd probably flip the frick out, first thing.

Then after I got over the shock, I'd probably have a masturbating marathon.

Then I'd go out and buy birth control pills just in case, and enjoy how much easier us guys are than girls(if I'd turned into a straight girl), or... pretty much cry in frustration if I was still only interested in girls.

Then I'd break the news to my friends and family. Internet buddies would see pics as proof.

I'd have them help me change my ID, and I'd probably end up changing my name.

Then I'd start a new life.

Also, I'd flash my tits at any poor random virgin loser like myself who hadn't seen a pair before so that they wouldn't have to suffer the lack of boobs in their life that I've had to. Hell, would probably let'em touch'em.

Everyone? Depends if other people "notice" or not. If they went on as though it were always like that, I'd probably think I went insane. If it was a global panic, I might start believing in God.

Or maybe just try to live my life as it is... I'd try to see if any of the people I know try to change their personality/opinions because of it.

I just thought of this. And in hindsight, I should've considered this before asking either of those questions.

Pregnancy. Would they end? Would they stay? What would happen?!

I imagine that in the cases of pregnancy...

Person A is pregnant
Person B made Person A pregnant

Upon gender swapping,

Person A will no longer be pregnant
Person B will take on the pregnancy as the new female.

Considering that this all happened by magic anyway, it's a reasonable and valid possibility.

I'd imagine people would notice, and it would cause a global panic. I'd imagine a small minority would be pleased with the change, a larger minority would be outraged, and the majority of us would just try to move on with our lives.

It would be fascinating to see what would happen in the realm of gender equality. All the male-dominated industries would instantly become female-dominated. Would the ex-women who are now men move and begin to take over those industries again? Or would these fields remain dominated by ex-men? Or would gender-bias disappear entirely, though honestly this seems like the least likely outcome?

A lot of guys go to Thailand and Bangkok especially for cheap whores. And, sickeningly enough, underaged whores more often than not.

The assumption is that the women-turned-men would have the same sexual appetites you get in men now.

assuming people care about the change to their bodies, I get the feeling Germany would prophet very well as well, seeing as either Germany or the area near Germany have the best rated gender cosmetic surgery treatment in the world, everywhere else you can't feel your junk afterwords...

That's...not at all what I meant to suggest. Bangkok is one of the more popular places to obtain SRS currently, and if people notice the change, there will probably be a large spike in demand.

Eh, could go either way. Plenty of older upper-middle-class or richer women who vacation in jamaica or wherever for the cheap male company. I don't see how that'd change much once they became male; And since they usually do it for the powerful feeling it gives them, I could easily see it turning out the way I interpreted how you said it.

Updated by anonymous

If it was only me that changed, I would probably have an identity crisis and start wearing a fake beard at all times. I would also panic because I would never be able to get a legitimate job ever again without first getting a fake ID. Unless that changed too, I guess.

If EVERYONE changed, however, I would revel in the madness of the situation and start a company that sells fake beards because I expect the demand for them would increase rapidly.

I've actually had dreams like this before. It was actually quite a shock in the dream state and I immediately tried to find my penis. Perhaps it was... tucked inside I thought.

As to the Kafkaesque question in relation to real life, The first thing I would do is masturbate. I've always wondered how different a female orgasm is from a males. Then I'd probably try to find out how and why it happened. Then I would probably east some fruit that people threw at me (bad attempt at some Kafka Metamorphosis humor). I don;t think I'd do much else differently. I assume I would be a lesbian but who knows what havoc hormones might wreck on my sexual identity. Interesting question for sure.

About the original question:
For me, a huge problem would be learning to act like a proper female, as society would expect me to after the change. I don't live in redneck country, but in my experience, even liberals are very heteronormative. And I'm too old (> 30) to learn a new gender identity from scratch.

Asked as only a minor possibly could. I'm guessing...13?

And the answer is "No, now stop watching anime and get a girlfriend. Assuming your parents will allow it."

I would have to ditch my marriage license and go to somewhere like New York where my wife and I could legitimately get married, as two women.

I'm guessing his wife IS an actual furry. What? We live in the age of movies like The Human Centipede, so why can't we combine women with fur? You just need to use enough SCIENCE!!

Yes. She's sort of a closet furry, as is the mutual friend who introduced us.

Wow... diverse minds, similar thoughts...

Anyway, third question! (Yay ^_^)
Same as the first question: Just you. Only, here's the kicker. An omnipotent being is the one who has done this to you. There is no bargaining with it, no threats, or actual harm to it that you can do to it. It informs you that the change is permanent for one month, and after that when you change back to your original gender is up to you.

What do you do for a month?
Do you change back after the month?
When do you change back, if at all?

Enjoy your ponderings!

-Your Friendly Neighborhood Chimera,
AshuraK

Updated by anonymous

That's easy. I'd hide out for a month, and pretend to be someone else. A twin sister, maybe, housesitting while my brother is on a lengthy vacation.

Yeah, it's hugely disruptive to my life, will probably cost me my job and force me to find employment elsewhere once I turn back at the end of the month. But after that, it's over, and I can go back to being who I am.

And yes, I would probably spend that month educating myself about the opposing gender's personal areas, and in my case, the monthly personal issues that come with that gender. I'm sure it would be enlightening. I'm also sure that it would be a great relief once it was over.

Updated by anonymous

...

This is far more tougher than it should be, because of the judgement of other people. It'd be quite difficult to explain to people that I *didn't* get a sex change... and why I don't wish to turn back into a guy as soon as the month was up. Frankly, I may choose to stay as a female, but that will most definitely cause problems with a lot of people, including my family. But of course, if I choose to move out to some other better place where people don't know me to be male, then I may as well do so as a guy, where I could hopefully live out my life among people who won't judge me so harshly.

As for what I'd actually do, yes I'd have a lot of 'fun' with myself, but I'd also seek out a lot of activities I've wanted to do but wasn't able to as a guy because of, again, judgement... UGH, FUCK PEOPLE...

Updated by anonymous

I would imagine that any male in that situation would start fondling their new breasts.

I know I would.

Updated by anonymous

1) Panic
2) Cotact parents with phone (even if they're in the house)
3) Check to see if shirts can fit new bits
3.5) Get aroused by shirt.
4) Probably go to doctor to confirm.

Updated by anonymous

In all three cases, I'd be one pissed off bitch 'till the change wore off.

Updated by anonymous

pay a visit to one of my friends... he said he'd be afraid of me if I was a woman, and I am just the kind of terrible person to push that to the limit.

Well the philosophical implications are i am NO longer me, the self that existed in a different body was composed entirely of different matter and with the knowledge that the self is nothing more than the physical body (for there is nothing meta physical about the mind) and females have a very different body chemistry i would argue i was never a boy nor did can it be proven that any memory of my 'past self' was ever me.

However the fact that i 'the self' now inhabits a new body could very mean the 'self' is meta physical, for it could be argued that 'the self' still remains whilst the physical body has completely altered, but that he meta physical mind supervenes on the physical body.

Anyway first thing i would do is masturbate.

Not very much, at least....

Anyways, apart from the obvious physical changes, meaning: going by behaviour, people probably wouldn't even notice... *lol*

I would be happy about he opportunity to experience and examine something like this, assuming that I am the only one who does.

Hiding it would be difficult, alright, but I'd at least try to isolate myself for a while....
