Topic: OMG! STOP with the 4800x5300 posts!

Posted under General

Damn, I know that we can go to our settings and auto size pictures but that only applies to pictures larger than 800. I like a good 1500x2000 or something, but something so damn large that the characters mouth is half your screen is ugly and it's such an inconvenience to re-size it so see the whole thing, it makes me not even want to look at it.

Can't there adleast be a preview screen so you can see how it will appear on the page before posting it?

I accidently turned off the resize feature once. Never made that mistake again.

The butthurt continues.

Oh shut the fuck up, I can't blacklist every single last size and even if I did then it wouldn't appear and I couldn't see the picture. I'm just saying that it's easy to make it a reasonable size BEFORE you post.

Keep it civil. Also, do this:

Some of us enjoy the high-resolution posts... For instance, me. Actually, isn't uploading a higher-resolution a reason to get the old one deleted? So yeah, we definitely want the higher resolution.

That said, some better options for showing the right sized image would be nice, 800px is a little bit arbitrary.

Actually, not always, especially for pixel (where optimal resolution is not necessarily the highest resolution you can get) or vector art (where resolution differences makes no difference to the actual image.

This is of course assuming loss-less high resolution of course. (pixel and vector art has no degration of quality when resized upwards, unlike jpg, or gif/png/etc which are resized with a filter) (gif/png which are resized without a filter essentially follows the same rules as pixel art)
