I guess they could take they alternate route and just not give a damn. Come on, if they care enough about the place to put effort into an April Fool's joke, why would you be rude about that?

Most, if not all, the fun of jokes or pranks comes from their unpredictability and unexpectedness. If we did something on April 1st, it would be spotted instantly. The first news feed, crazy ban, major change, or what have you, people would know it was a prank immediately, and thus, would be pointless and not funny.

They'll probably say that the site has been shut down, and close the site for the day.

They'll make every username say "FusRoDah".

We'll turn the site orange and hide all non-SFW imagery and claim to have been taken over by Nickelodeon or something.
