Scarcely a week goes by that someone doesn't compare me to some sort of furry-Halocausting Hitler or make elaborate 10-paragraph rants about how I am unprofessional abusively-moderating failure as a human who is out to end all furry-kind and rape their pets. Let me elaborate on that
He was important to people who were deluded by the nazi propaganda. He had millions of people killed.
He was filled to the brim with hatred and happened to have had what might've been the biggest mouth in history, so why not scream bullshit at people who'd accept any foe as the source of their misery.

SpanKing. For all the evils Hitler did, realize that if he had won that war, he would have been considered a hero. While as far as history covers, Germany did the worst in WWII with the holocaust, other countries did fairly wicked things during the war, including the United States and Britain.

If you want a specific historical event committed by the United States that gets glossed over historically because of who won the fight... Try looking up "Sherman's March to the Sea" from the American Civil War (Probably one of the worst acts in American History). The North won the war by setting massive wildfires across large portions of the South, burning civilian homes indiscriminately. Tens of thousands of civilians and slaves died in those fires. And the South surrendered almost immediately, because of the horror of the North directly attacking civilians. But it's one of those historical incidents that gets glossed over because of who won the war.

Regardless of the evils that Hitler committed, he had a bigger impact on the world than any other single person in human history. The only other person I can think of who might be able to compete with him for that title was Constantine.

Marbles. You're missing my point. The problem I had with your capslock text was that it conveyed the impression that you approve of what Hitler did in WW2. I'm well aware of the fact that those leaders who've killed most people are the ones who had the largest impact on history. Apparently we don't agree on the meaning of the word "important".
