Hello there everypony, I am a vocalist, percussionist and songwriter for a Highschool Band called Supernova. I usually write historical horror songs. I was wondering if there are any story ideas or stuff based on poetry if you want it to be translated into lyrics. I'll leave this page here for you. Thanks

I'm very bad at all things musical but I'm sure there are plenty stories out there that could be made into lyrics. What kind of era in history?

I have made lyrics based of of Native American vs Manifest Destiny, Romanov Execution/slaughter, so yes I'm covering different eras of history while studying Edgar Allen Poe.

Alright, well how about medieval Europe? Tales such as Beouwulf and the like. There are also plenty of roman and Greek poems. I'm not too fluent with poetry but I hope this helps some.

Historical horror, eh? Most of history is pretty horrible, so you have a lot to choose from! The Salem witch burnings maybe, the beheading of Marie Antoinette, the Jonestown Massacre... oh wait, what was that original post?

Oh, right. Things I'd like to see made into a song? Well if your starting point is poetry it's half way there already. There was this great bit called staring contest by Jason M. Heim http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/staringcontest (how the fuck do you make text links i cant make it work :V) which is pretty strong by itself. I guess a musical adaptation could be interesting...
