I remember in high school we used to do this group activity where we would make a story one at a time, each person contributing a single sentence. In the end it would make a halairious story. Not sure if this is going to work here, but it is worth a try.

Once upon a time, there lived a snail named Billy.

Too bad billy was hit by a truck and died horribly.
