Is there a DNP list?

The names Anailaigh - an i do not want my stuff posted OFF SITE esp without permission as there IS several pics of me floating around here....

Updated by SharkFetish

If you would like to have your art added to the DNP list, or have any drawings you have drawn added to the do not post lists, you may request it politely via email. Polite requests are honored, and images that have been deleted cannot be uploaded again (in theory at least, unless I'm mistaken, the unloader tries to catch and stop subsequent uploads of deleted images).

If it is not art you have personally drawn, but rather it is a commission, you must ask the artist to submit a takedown request for you. Only the artist has the right to say where and where not the art may be posted.

EDIT: I've said it before and I'll say it again. This needs to be a sticky.

EDIT EDIT: I was only able to find one drawing of your character on your site, though I trust there is more. The one I found, unless the tags are wrong, is a commission by artewolfe.

Thus to have that picture removed, you need to ask artewolfe to request it be taken down, as artewolfe has the rights to the picture.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: If you do not want your commissions distributed, it might be advisable in the future to request that artists apply a DNP watermark for the version ya'll to post online, so you may keep the only non-watermarked copy for yourself and do NOT post it. As I can guarantee this is not the only site which has gathered a copy or two of your character.

Fix'd. It's times like this that I sorta regret using a different username on e621 than I use on the rest of the Internet. But I was trying to prevent e621 popping up if my employer ever got the bright idea to google my username.

I like the pun though, whether it was intentional or not.

Marbles, your resident bull dyke lesbian and misandrist, at your service.

What's your different reason? Don't "dot dot dot" and expect me not to ask.

Bad movies from the 80's by John Carpenter are no excuse. What's the real reason? :P

What about images marked "do not distribute"? It seems that the artist has made it already clear on the image that they do not want to see it redistributed. There is a tag on e621 -- do_not_distribute -- with about 80+ images so tagged.

Maybe it's just reverse psychology.

Umm... hate to burst the bubble (especially after 2 months), but legally speaking, the person who buys the commission(the client) is the "artist" of the drawing.

I know I've just wasted finger-energy here, 'cause nobody's gonna heed this, but I felt that it had to be said. The person who draws the commission has NO rights to the said piece unless the client GIVES them permission.

And so, though this is my own opinion(which is meaningless seeing that I am not a moderator or admin), I think that a Client would have any and all rights to request that their own commissions be removed, and the person who draws the commission does not. It would be a complicated procedure, I'm sure, but it would also be more legally sound.

Okay, I'll shut up now.

Why do you think so?

Artist draws a picture. It's a fact. No matter under what conditions. It's his work. Person who buys the comission creates such conditions. pays artist to draw the picture.

No, legally speaking a contract would have to be signed for ownership to be turned over to a commissioner.

Actually, the legal issues here have recently been discussed in forum #4201. Might I suggest perusing that conversation? It has the benefit of someone actually citing U.S. code, followed by discussion of what the code means*.

*No lawyers or paralegals participated in the conversation in any professional manner. More to the point, <i>your</i> lawyer did not participate in the conversation at all. Detailed, case-specific questions should be directed to an attorney you've hired for professional advice.

Untrue. The original artist keeps the copyright unless he/she expressly signs it over to someone else. The commissioner is actually buying a license to use the art. Of course, there is the possibility that the artist might be in breach of the license agreement, but that's why it's a good idea for an artist and a commissioner to work out beforehand who can do what with the artwork once the transaction is complete.

(I'm no lawyer, thank goodness, but this isn't the only forum these issues have popped up on, so I can paraphrase an answer from someone with lawyery training.)

Actually 102 right now.

I can't say for certain the reason behind them... Normally I'm swift to flag for deletion anything I see that is DNP. But with an image that is really old like that... I feel like I'd be spamming the admins pointlessly, as I can only assume there was some reason that they were allowed previously.

On the other hand, it could just be nobody flagged them in the first place. Either way, it's easy for an admin to find it without me spamming them 102 different deletion flags.

The rules actually allow two year old pay art on the site. :)

Yeah. We've found that at that time period most of the people (say CS, for instance) don't appear to have a problem with it.

Because it's pretty much everywhere at that point and it makes for good advertising.

I figured that much.n Hince why I didn't flag them.

But if the image doesn't have a date on it, I have no idea if it's 2 years old or not.

im thinking sexyfur doesn't apply for that two year pay art rule huh? because if it did, i have it labeled on my computer from 2004-2009 all the images that have ever been on sexyfur :)
but im guessing it will still be DNP -.-

Jeremy Bernal. Allow me to repeat, Jeremy Bernal. The guy who thinks that <i>threatening</i> to sue immediately instead of just entering legal proceedings <i>before</i> talking to you is being polite.

There is no grey area when Bernal is involved; he's too trigger-happy when it comes to lawyers.

Updated by anonymous

Bernal USED to be what I'd call a top-tier artist. But he's not kept up with the expanding universe (not even the one he believes has him as it's center) and as such, I don't even care to see his art, new or old.

Honestly, I prefer Jeremy Mullins over Jeremy Bernal.

what do you mean by expanding? i hope you don't mean herms with dicks the size of tree trunks with vore at the same time of a pre pubescent character

Sorry, you'll have to find something more related to, you know, history or whatever if you want to offend. Winger is <i>way</i> older than Bernal, you know. Both in personal age and point in time of when they became well-known. Plus Hardiman has a significant amount of "Oh that was Desiree Lee, and oh, it's just cartoon characters" cub stuff that is, similarly, older than Bernal's first pay stuff.

Vore is the only part there that (to my knowledge) showed up / became popular after Bernal.

Updated by anonymous

I have nothing wrong with herms or macro. But as far as I can tell, Winger is a simply a horrible artist. I mean I don't even know how to say anything positive about his stuff. It baffles me that he has a fan following.... OH GOD THE FACES THE FACES THEY ARE SO HIDEOUSLY UGLY. It's like some sorta Lovecraft nightmare.

At least Hardiman is a solid artist. He's just an irredeemable ass and hypocrite.

Updated by anonymous

Winger's stuff from before he went "cartoonish". He understood that people kept wanting bigger. He has about 10 pictures making fun of people that were never happy with breast size. After he did that, he just catered to the fan base and with horrible jokes that people tend to either get or miss, usually because they're fapping their glans off into the mayo jar at the neighbor's house.

His old stuff, before Pandora and her (hir?) friends, that was good stuff. Just like Gideon's old stuff before.
