So I've seen a lot of comments on different pictures that are basically along these lines:

"Zomg, I hates me some scatt! Why, oh why, doesn't my blacklist work?"

So I dont know if there's already a thread for this or what, but I thought maybe somebody out there knows more about how to work the blacklist than me. Maybe you know why items on my blacklist aren't showing up; maybe it's something that Im doing wrong.

So, if you're having problems working your blacklist, or if you know how to fix common blacklist issues, please post in this thread and we'll see what we can do :)

I'll start us off.

I want to block a couple of image types that I cant get rid of. I have successfully eliminated scat, gore, and a few other things, but I cant seem to get pokémon or renamon images blocked.

Is there a reason for this? Im putting them in the blacklist just as they appear above.

Really? There's already a stickied thread about this on the first page. And like a half dozen other ones in the forums going already too. FFS how many of these do we fucking need?

Sigh... I'd suggest renaming the stickied forum #4816 to something more obvious like "BLACKLIST AND TAG FILTERING FAQ", except that I fully expect that won't help.

Alright, let's think this through. You can't block Renamon or Pokemon stuff, for reasons unknown.

Well, for starters, make sure that each tag is on a separate row(Of course, I figure you already know this if you have other images blocked). MAKE SURE that you save the changes before exiting the Settings page. Also, I don't know if it's auto-correcting or not, but tags are always in lower-case.

Besides that, I don't really know what could be wrong. If none of those things are doing it for you, then maybe you could take a Screencap(PrtSc key) of the blacklist as you have it typed, c&p it into MS Paint, save it, and then upload to photobucket and link us. If we can't see anything wrong with the blacklist and you still see Renamon/Pokemon images, then I'd suggest contacting an admin/moderator.

I think it would be useful in the future if people that create threads could have the option of deleting them. Just a suggestion.

Recently 'pokemon' got aliased to the more correct 'pokémon', so that might be one of your problems. Aliases don't work on blacklists; you have to blacklist the end result (pokémon).

I can't see how blacklisting Renamon would fail, so I'm guessing you must have capitalized it (<u>all</u> tags are lower-case, even names).

I'm sorry your well-intentioned post is drawing flak (including from me). Lerk long enough and you'll see that forum topics tend to come back, again and again and again and... :/

Also, feature suggestions can go in forum #5089, which is also stickied. If you want to make sure the admins see your idea and give it due consideration, that's the best place for it.

Well it's fine. I UNDERSTAND why people get their panties in a twist over repeated forum topics, I really do.

Anyway, thanks for the link. I'll go in a drop that suggestion.

Oh and also, I've figured out most of my blacklist problems dont come from improper entry (although some of them do), rather improper tagging, so I guess I'll just have to live with it.
