Hey y'all.

Please refrain from removing the tags on deleted posts. In the event that the mods have to search through deleted submissions it is helpful to have these tags in place.

We're aware that it causes incorrect tag counts, but it's a moderating neccessity and can't be helped right now. If it helps, think of it as a warning - if you see there's 10 pages of deleted images with a particular artist's tag or whatever, might be a good idea not to post images by that artist without asking first =P

Why should you touch deleted posts in the first place ?
Even if it was a matter of knowing the exact count of a tag, there is a work around.

I know who went and deleted the tags, and i told them to stop.
Aside from being useless, as people reposting deleted stuff will restore parts of the tags, it is a big loss of infos for people like me who dig into lost content and try to find unknown artists.
Not to mention that, when the removal is demanded by the artist, half of the time the delete reason isn't filled.

Yeah, I've found that this was done to transfer any favorites to the 'better post' once the child got deleted, but that leaves the parent to be seemingly connected to nothing. I removed 'some', but...

Leaving parent-child connections on deleted posts still helps us, although I suppose if the better/undeleted post id is in the deletion reason it's not needed.
