It's tough to get a positive score. You have to really work at it.

if it takes more than occasionally adding/editing tags and sometimes commenting "cool pic" then it's not for me ;)

Ways to increase your score: Consistent and appropriate tag edits, duplicate reporting, reporting DNP material, following the rules, reporting harassment, uploading quality submissions, being polite and helpful, generally an all around good user.

This is not to say that we notice everyone's effort; although there are quite a few who make small contributions, and there are some who work hard enough to get a bit of notice, and there are a select few that shine above the rest and that is why we have Batweek.. for those who go above and beyond what a normal user would usually do.

No it's not for everyone, but a zero score isn't a bad thing. It just means you're not marked as shark bait :-D

I personally avoid giving out positive scores as much as I can so that people don't whine that I'm playing favourites or that sucking up to me gets you anywhere on this site. You pretty much have to be a universally accepted awesome dude or do something big that helps the site to snag a +1 from me, so don't feel bad if I you don't get one from my end - it's nothing personal.

The only people that I've seen with positive scores are people who like, have hundreds of image uploads, and thousands of tag edits.

I like to try and help out when I can by flagging DNP or duplicate images for deletion, but for the most part, this is the only furry-related site I visit anymore (yay for a relatively drama-free environment), and so I don't really have much I can upload.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't people with +1 able to upload more images per hour or something like that?

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure you need a higher rank (Privileged, Contributor, et cetera) for that, it's just that if you were a Member before and got promoted it generally comes with a +1 record at the same time.

And, I believe the images are per day, not hour, and it goes from 36 to 100... For one of those two, maybe both. I think Privileged was 100 and Contributor and above have no cap? Not entirely sure.

Shucks. I always thought that getting a +1 on your record automatically promoted you.

Guess it's the other way around then.

I don't mind having -1 as long as it doesn't mean I'm gonna get banned from something. I at least try to be helpful but everyone fucks up sometimes I guess.
