I don't think e621 tries to be a community as much as many other furry sites (i.e. FA or InkBunny) but is more a repository of art. Naturally a community has grown up around the site anyway, but I think most people just come for the images without investing in e621's social functions. Being a largely inactive member on the forum myself, you still have my welcome as well as I can give it.

Just don't "fix" others comments or make creepy "i'd like him to shove his huge hard dick into me and fill me with his seed" comments...and you should be fine. I agree with NoU, a lot of people here can be pricks...because of the anonymity. But there's a lot of nice people here as well.

Blacklist is your friend. Just add each tag on a newline, and you won't see posts containing that tag. For example, let's say you had a bad experience in your childhood, and you don't wish to see any posts containing 'pokémon'. By adding pokémon to your blacklist, all posts containing pokémon won't be visable, considering that the post was tagged correctly.

It ain't no hugbox, but it ain't no /b/ either... it's the sweet middle of sweet and sour users. :) Like caramel in chocolate covered in strawberry cream. perfect.
