Topic: Request moving the "report" button

Posted under General

Because I just accidentally reported a forum post, instead of replying, since the one is where the other once was.

I second this request. I've almost done the same, more than once.

I've nearly done it a few times before. This is the first time I've actually done it. And there's no way to retract it. I can only hope the mods see this before they see my ticket and have mercy.

I've almost done that a few times myself. Does it at least have a safety "Are you sure you want to do this" message?

Or change the link color for it?

Seriously?
Even with the huge YOU ARE REPORTING A FORUM POST page that pops up? If that doesn't clue you in to what you're doing, then you should stop posting in the forums with your eyes closed.

I know, I know. I do blame myself, as I honestly wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to what I was doing. Still, it'd be nice if the button were put somewhere else, where you can only click it if you're actually thinking about it. But yeah, I'll try to be less oblivious.

Maybe set it off a slight bit to the right of the user name? Of course, you'd need to add some more buttons to the bottom in order to maintain the proper fung shui.

Edit | Respond | ????

EDIT: Seems pretty well-arranged to me. There definitely wouldn't be any accidentally clicking the Report button.

Alright, I moved stuff around a bit (it won't be updated on the site for a while still).

Much appreciated. Thanks.

Now watch me be the one doofus who still manages to successfully accidentally submit a report instead of a response.
