Could you extend this suggestion to the moderators/admins as well please? The only time I ever hear from them is when they're being verbally abusive to me, and I hear the same from everyone I mention e621 to.

Maybe you should hang out on the forums or the chat, so you can hear from them when they're not correcting you for breaking the rules? Just a thought.

Only time I ever see/hear them being dicks is when they're reprimanding someone for being a super-dick. Looks like they've been pretty lenient, letting you go three strikes before giving you just a week off, and all of the warnings on your account seem to have been delivered in a reasonably non-dickish way.

Who all have you mentioned e621 to? Other people who break the rules repeatedly?

Let's have some recent examples of user abuse from the e621 staff, please. Keep it to the current administration.

I too am curious as to how you've been victimized by the big bad mods. I hope you realize that everyone who reads this topic is gonna be going through your dirty laundry now that you've drawn attention to it.

Hey can I throw in my anecdote too? They're not dicks, and I hear the same from everyone else.

From what I've seen and experienced, the mods aren't dicks as long as you're not a dick to them or other users, and even then they tend to try to be nice depending on the exact situation.

I love the mods, they're some of my favorite people to talk to. I don't think they're dicks, even if I do call them dicks sometimes, it's all in good fun.

The basis of this topic seems to stem from communication breakdown

bluebackground, feel free to clarify or refute that

Hypocritically accusing others of hypocrisy?

Trying to be as least biased as possible may be the best way of explaining this.

The moderators, or administrators, are the people who have created the site, run and maintain the site, and/or are highly dedicated and devoted to the site. Therefore, when one tampers or abuses the privilege of the website, most admins will view this as a direct attack on themselves and their effort. Arguing with a moderator is simply a shortcut to offending or angering them. This will ultimately lead to a negative response from the staff, which, in most cases, results in some form of discipline.

If a user helps with a problem, contributes to the efforts of the site, or in any other way benefits the website and its users, the administrators will find this as helpful and good for the website. The response will be a positive one and in some cases, the user will be rewarded for his or her work.

Unfortunately, it looks like you are more of an example of the former. The only reason you see the mods as "dicks" is because you are the cause of their aggravation. My advice is to try to apologize by showing that you can be useful to the site. There is always something to be done that can redeem yourself. E621 is, after all, partially dependent on the community.

Remember, treating others badly will result in them treating you badly, so try being good. Good luck!
