As I was looking around e621 I noticed that there is no way to friend users....

I'm not sure if it's needed or not but I was just putting that out there...like we could see if they are online and could see what they have been up to lately I dunno but I feel that this is a good idea, any comments or ideas?

It has been suggested in the feature request thread but there has been no word yet. Right now it seems people just pm eachother that want to be friends.

You can also view someone's recent history under there profile page but it would be handy to see if they are online now and as it was mentioned maybe a simple contact list would better suit this site than a friends list.

I think its a great idea... I like friends!

I don't see what's stopping you from keeping track of your friends yourself.
