i keep trying to upload this flash from newgrounds but it won't let me.
it keeps saying "invalid content type".
is there a way to upload it? (this is my first upload)

Download it to your hard drive than upload it.

i don't know how to download from newgrounds.
i've looked it up before but all i've found is how to make it a html document.

You can do it in various ways.

i use orbit downloader with fire fox it works like a charm :D

For Firefox, go to the page that has the flash on it, then go to

tools > page info > media > then click the .swf file and hit save as. Then proceed to upload.

There are multiple SWF files, and he might download the wrong one.

Search for the file with the biggest size.
But i prefer Orbit because it automaticly detects SWF and shit and you can download it with ease.

Not usually. On newgrounds for example, everything but the .swf file itself is a .gif, so it's pretty easy to pick out.
