Can they be done? just would like to see all the tenses linked together, so "rate:e" "rated:e" are aliased to "rating:e", for example.

Maybe. I know it's more/less hard coded but it's possible. A few like r:e as well might be a good idea, though I can't help but wonder if it's simple to sequester "safe" "questionable" and "explicit" (or at least the last two) for this as well, since I know they get used like that from time to time.

It would probably be good for usability if safe/questionable/explicit would work exactly like rating:safe/rating:questionable/rating:explicit. However having only questionable and explicit function in this way would be terrible from a usability standpoint. I would suggest "strongbox" as an alternative tag for what is currently tagged "safe", but in this situation it would be impossible to use an alias to enforce the new tag, and would probably cause confusion.
That said, r:e, r:q, and r:s ought to be easy to implement and would be lovely shorthand.

Yeah that would be a pretty bad idea. :X

Tony already pushed some changes related to this thread (likely to be part of the next update), but I'll ask see if he can throw this in as well. :P
