On a mission to rescue Katarenia Nomina from Rodrick Twintail - a nefarious and technological genius from the vulpine home world of Barume - the group of adventurers that became known as Hathora's Champions had to enter his digital world, created with the sole purpose of trapping all of them inside. While inside, Rodrick's computer systems created digital copies of the Champions' minds... Their personalities, memories, thoughts.... Everything. The intent of this being for Rodrick to use these copies to have the Champions effectively be under his control rather than that of any deity or cult that would do harm to the people of Barume. This is mainly how Jacklyn came to be, as the copy of Jacob's mind had taken over his digital avatar, causing a glitch that swapped the gender of the character - and the digital recreation of his brain - to be female instead.

The Champions at the time this all happened consisted of 5 people - Jacob Craigo, Hunter Keero, Hunter's sister Elana, Asami Hokuto, and Keloph O'Sherwood. Due to the glitch that wound up creating Jacklyn, Jacob and Katarenia now both imprisoned in the digital landscape, the (still) 5 remaining members of the Champions moved through the world, and wound up escaping thanks to Jacklyn sacrificing herself to save the others as the world began to crumble due to the files being deleted by Rodrick. What Rodrick didn't delete, however, were the copies of everyone's brains....

A couple of months after the events in the Digital World, the Champions faced off with a group of cultists known as The Soldiers of Korgin, and in the middle of the battle almost succeeded in having their namesake, a long dead ancient being known as Korgin, taking over Hunter's body... However, Keloph would sacrifice himself, causing Korgin's soul to be transferred into his body instead, destroying Keloph's soul in the process. Despite this, Korgin had to retreat and was able to get away, taking the battle as a loss despite having his own body to fully control once again.

... In the aftermath of that fight, Hathora realized that just one small group wouldn't be enough to prevent an oncoming threat of eternal darkness, and hatched a plan that would see the creation of a secondary team of adventurers to work in tandem with the original group. To start, Rodrick is released from prison on parole on the grounds that he helped Hathora with her plan, which involved developing an AI persona to inhabit the body of an synthetic being currently in the planning stages that was to be created by one of his scientific rivals. Despite verbally protesting having to work with said rival, Rodrick agreed, as was given access to his old computer once again. Noticing he had forgot to delete the copies of the Champions' minds, he decided to try and develop one to become the AI. Coincidentally, he chose Keloph's mind.

7 months later, the collaborative project was finished, and thus Kelli was "born". At first, mainly due to the fact that very little was changed from Keloph's mind, Kelli had a hard time understanding how nearly a full year had passed when the Champions only spent a couple of days in the world at most. It was revealed then to both Rodrick and Kelli why her existence came about: Hathora had funded the project behind the scenes due to Keloph's demise and the Champions losing in the fight against Korgin mainly due to his renewed strength. Kelli, of course, started to have an existential crisis. After all, being told you're a truly soulless machine built to replace the person your AI programing is based on is kinda a lot to take in....

Regardless, Kelli stepped up to the challenge alongside her colleagues in the B-Team, and was welcomed by the Champions with open arms..........

Figured I would post something with Kelli that way I can say I finally uploaded at least 1 thing with all (well, except for 1) of my characters.... Also made changes to her backstory that has developed overtime compared to the original description I had made 5 years ago when I initially created the character.
